I'm not gonna think it's funny wether I believe it or not. The porno just proves this has nothing to do with sending any all important message other than "We're Attention Whores! Look at us! Look at us!"

I'm not even going to show them the respect of calling them "sad and pathetic" because they don't deserve pity.
Slandering a young pop artist over the internet- these assholes are nothing like Brad Pitt in Fight Club like they think they are. They are not 'shaking the foundations of the internet', they are just being bullies. High on their VERY LIMITED power. This whole thing is disgusting.

Has anyone actually mentioned who attacked yet?

10 days and more before the attacks there were groups of people on YouTube claiming that they would attack Justin Bieber on the 4th of July. I honestly can't remember who they represented but it wasn't 4chan. Anyway! Most people thought they were full of shit, but yeah they came through with their threats. This is no surprise to me. I already knew it was coming.

Uh-huh. Does your life lack such meaning that you need to shake up something that exists as 1s and 0s?
I've never been able to grasp the reason why people do this, it just seems juvenile and ridiculously stupid.
Not to mention funny and entertaining

Oh, great, let's all point at a public website and say "they did it, now go ruin it with your ridiculous expectations". Besides, I witnessed it being organized on eBaum's. 4chan is always going to be the easiest scapegoat for malicious hackers and exploiters on Ebaumsworld.

Seriously, every remotely interesting thing attributed to 4chan is the work of someone else attempting to skirt the consequences, so there's no need to go there and bother its users. I've seen enough idiots on facebook claiming to be trolls and hackers just because somebody gives them the impression that 4chan is the only haven for the internet-savvy, and they spend a week there.

I am so sick of articles like this. "Hey, everyone, the super-cool club is right over there, go start a 'rate me' thread!"

Edit: I'd also like to make people aware of the inherent irony in posting "don't these people have better things to do than mess around on the internet" on an online forum. Shouldn't you be out making nice with the opposite sex and making connections that further your future career, instead of passively spectating the internet? Or are you just so special that you're automatically exempt from the same "no life" stigma that you're heaping on everyone else that's using the internet, for whatever reason?

And stop with the pretentious "oh, they're not as badass as they think they are" internet toughguy bullshit, would you? The fact that your derision comes from the fact that this was done for their own amusement, rather than doing something important with their apparent abilities, really paints you as the snobbiest dickbag this side of an abstract art gallery. The fact that people take things like this so seriously is the reason why it's so tempting to do it in the first place.

I'll list my personal favourite attacks:
Whitehouse videos got attacked with "Sup from Ebaums world"(while leaving racial remarks)
The affromentioned Justin Bieber pop-ups
Mass Effect 2 videos:"Assuming direct control of your computer/Youtube"

But Justin Bieber was definately their punching bag, almost every related video/videos being watched now had a pop-up how JB died

And after that debacle they attacked a popular music site, voting up images of (fake)pornogrpahy starring JB so that would be the thumbnail.

They really hate that kid

Edit:Gee how could I forget, while both of those are going on, his last world tour is being voted on where he will be touring, the popular vote?North Korea, due to obvious reasons.

It would have been ten times funnier had the hackers turned all of the videos into rickroll videos.

Can you imagine how people would react?

Best fucking video ever there!

OT: I love these raids, well done people with nothing better to do!

Here's a BBC article about some more Justin Beaver antics.
It's actually pretty hilarious, like the writer thought the subject was pretty funny.
"It is not known if Kim Jong-il is a fan of Justin Bieber's music."

GO 4CHAN!
Or whoever did it,that Justin Beiber is a teen baby who can yell with a voice so high that it sound like he's a 10 year old girl getting a Twilight book.
He also killed Youtube,so it's a fair trade.

OMG! XD When I read "Youtube hacked" I immidiately thought of 4Chan, Uncyclopedia, & Encyclopedia Dramatica, & then it confirmed 4Chan in the last sentence.

I take it I'm not the only one here not suprised.

I think the shock porn was good. The audience of Justin Beber fand are like Twilight fans, so when they see the porn it would be LULZ.
In fact,it needed moar.

Wow. These people are actually starting to look like terrorists to me. They want to be known for these things so as to instill fear into people for their own ends. Sounds like terrorism to me.
No,it's just for entertainment,or more primarily the 'LULZ',not to actually attack or kill people, just to look at them and have a good laugh.
