Ubisoft screwed it's customers with ridiculous DRM, in specific reference to AssCreed 2. They seemed to have fixed it though(I think).
If by "fix" you mean "can disconnect net while playing, but still need to authenticate the game every time you start it up" then yes, they "fixed" it.

Fuck Ubisoft. They didn't fix it, they're just screwing you slightly less harder. And they're still screwing you pretty hard.
I was royally pissed when I bought Splinter Cell Conviction and was greeted by a Ubisoft account login. It's shit like that that makes me happy when a company gets hacked.

Fan-fucking-Tastic!
This is happening everywhere, no place is safe!
Turn off your workstation, friends, they might invade your personal porn collection! Erm... Your bank account information and your paypay account information... and something else... so other lie that doesn't include porn.... I DON'T WATCH PORN.
Lets assume you didn't read that rant.
I am highly disappointed in them for their flawed security. We trust the company to uphold their side of the bargain, and if they fail - why should we do the same?

Doubt it was LulzSec, as they haven't mentioned anything on their twitter about it. (plus I think they liked SEGA (or was it just Nintendo?))
Haha, they do it for lulz. So it's most likely not them. I mean, previously, they have never stolen anything. But, now lets watch the huge influx of lulzsec accusations, and maybe a few Anon accusations, it'll be fun. They pretty much like companies that don't treat their customers like shit, so Sega and Nintendo are likely both safe, but if I were to have a hitlist of companies to hack for fun, it would go something like:

Sony
Microsoft
EA
Activision
Ubisoft
THQ
ETC......

You get my meaning I'm sure. Some of these have already been hit, but I mean, those are the companies that treat their customers like trash on a regular basis, at least the ones that come immediately to mind.
See, where this falls down for me is that they went after Minecraft and Minecraft haven't really been jerks. :/

Actually, when this hack was reported last friday, lulzsec did tweet about it. [http://twitter.com/#!/LulzSec/status/81765889329991680]

You are correct. I stand corrected. I am probably thinking of Anon, lol. These guys are just big dicks. I read a news story where they are taking hit requests on Twitter.... Hmmm, if I request a Twitter hit, wonder if they would do it.

It's like some guy in an article said, they're just throwing rocks at windows to show us they can break. Yes, we know they do, now can you please stop breaking all our windows?

Anyone who thinks they're doing us all a service is deluded. We know that online security isn't perfect. We know there are ways to improve, but when the only real threat in years is just a bunch of hackers trying to make a point, it kind of feels like were being made to overcompensate. It's like if I were to go around breaking all my neighbors windows to show everyone how lax their home security is. Yeah they could spend the money and install shatter-proof glass, but if it weren't for me being a jerkface whistleblower, they wouldn't have to.

Not to mention that some companies simply don't have the resources to make sweeping changes to their security. It's not like they have a bunch of IT specialists sitting around doing nothing, just waiting to upgrade security. Meeting these new standards that hackers are trying to force on us is not free. And hell, even if companies upgrade, it won't flat-out stop them. They already try to make consoles un-hackable and we've seen how well that worked out.

Another day, another massive security compromise.

You know, bright boys, I'm sure what all these game companies that are closing or folding up their subsidiaries like so much origami really need right now is to spend less capital on making games and more on network security.

Yeah, yeah, the hacking software you got off bit torrent is all 13t3 and shit. Now cut it out.

so does that now mean that everyone has a sucky security system or that nobody is safe?

"Professor, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our viewers to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?"
"Yes I would, Kent."

In before Lulzsec accusations. Hopefully shit like this will send a message to the industry and protect themselves better from hack attacks.
Well fuck, anyhow I bet it was those crazy bastards.

I would say they had nothing to do with it.

I love it when I don't have to say anything. I can just point at someone else's post and say "pretty much this".

What confuses me is that there's nothing to be gained by this. I haven't heard anything about anyone having his identity stolen in any of these hacks - not a one. If whoever's doing this hacking is doing it just for fun, that sounds like textbook sadism (or dissocial personality disorder, if you'll forgive me using the Internet to diagnose people I've never met with mental illnesses with which I'm not terribly familiar).

EDIT: So Lulzsec wants Sega to contact them for help? Why doesn't Sega take them up on that offer and then alert the authorities? You've got a group of criminals willing to give out contact information, right?

This is getting old fast. In fact, this year just plain sucks. We have preteen making horrible music videos on Youtube, celebrities dying in car accidents, and hackers.

Back on topic, what's the point of hacking big pubishers/developers? Do they think it's fun? Why do it? Maybe they have a crappy life and decided to take it out on companies with more money than them.

Another day another hack. Is this really just game site or is the whole internet changing its focus from porn to hacking everything.
