Well thats easy, theyll simply create some sort of organic life form cloning container which you insert your DNA into by "certain means" and cover it with a flesh like layer which can take the form of their virtue love, then they simply download the personality and bingo. Also, don't think this doesn't happen in the states I know for a fact a female friend of mine has blown off dates before so she could have virtual dates with the same person in the Sims. This is more universal then people want to believe. The better we get at mimicking real human emotion and interaction the more we want from real life interaction with people.
Also all you people who think the cure is to fly over and whoo yourself a hot asian girl. Keep on dreaming. If you have a hard time getting a girlfriend here you're still going to have a hard time getting a girl anywhere else. Your personality, employment status and looks factor into the decision on if a girls going to date you or not. A girl doesn't go "damn, all the Japanese boys have computer girlfriends I guess I'll go date that clammy looking white guy who I don't understand at all and who's only here to pick up on desperate chicks". Btw easier and cheaper way to find desperate girls it's called a bar at around 1:30 in the morning. Don't kid yourself saying you're going to pick up girls with damaged self esteem makes you the same kinda asshole you all hated in highschool. Ah, yet another article written to further the illusion that Japan is some morally messed up country. The propaganda machine didn't switch off in the forties I see. You could take these comments from the women and apply them to a survey about general women's views on pornstars, models, or women in Western comic books. The article here as has put words in these women's mouths. They aren't threatened or fearful, nor are they feeling inferior. They are simply commenting on the lack of realism found in that game's portrayal of women, and relationships.
Why is that a countries like the USA can have moronic eating contests, people getting married in computer games, all kinds of crazy stuff and stupid popculture, YET there's never a single condescending article. You take anything out of context (usually intentionally) and ANYTHING looks strange and unsual. Half the rubbish that is reported on here is blown out of proportion. For example, some geeks personal love for a character leads him to 'marry' her, and it becomes apparently indicative of the morals of the nation! It was reported on here in Japan too! POeple here thought it was messed up! And the wedding wasn't even LEGAL or OFFICIAL. It was just for fun, something that the article here intentionally failed to mention.
