Hell yeah, man. I can't like anything that's even remotely popular! It's just not cool.Cryo84R said:Because it's too popular?KissofKetchup said:One more reason to hate Halo...
I don't get it.

That's something I've always hated, the fact that people assume Microsoft and Bungie are both simply money-grabbing bastard corporations. Fine, I guess MS is to some extent. But Bungie? Both Microsoft and Bungie have repeatedly stated they continue the series and the franchise out of loyalty to the fans, people like myself who play all the games and still read the books and follow the Halo story. They, Bungie especially, are like Valve in a way in that they continue all this out of respect for the fans who still love it, and so it isn't at all surprising that they still encourage people to play Halo 2. Hell, I have all three and I still enjoy the odd CTF match on the original Halo. I agree one hundred percent with Microsoft's decision here, why would anybody want that many friends on XBL anyway? It's far better to play a game you love than try and rack up your friends list in order to pretend you have a social life.NoMoreSanity said:Really? People should just play Halo 3 instead if they're that whiny, I mean I'm surprised it still supports Halo 2.
Why do you say that? We don't really appreciate flamers here, if you don't like Halo then fine, but don't make silly comments that offer no discussion, and please don't flame Halo here. If you don't like it that's up to you, but many more of us do enjoy Halo, so please, no more flames.KissofKetchup said:One more reason to hate Halo...

I wasn't really being serious, but you have to admit it's pretty lame that one game keeps people from having more than a hundred friends. Admittedly, I really don't like Halo and do think it is overrated. However I believe that my comment wasn't really flaming. If I was flaming, it would look more like this:Trivun said:Why do you say that? EDIT: Double post, apologies.
I don't think "the masses" have 100 friends and are desperate to have more "friends" they never talk too.mayney93 said:so instead of rebuilding the service to provide for the masses they decide to please the few and make life easier for themselves good old Microsoft

Seriously, having 10 people that you know well, who log on regularly to play with you, is far better than having 100 people who you barely know and never play with. I mean, I have friends who haven't logged on in A YEAR... and when I get my Box fixed I'm de-friending them.
