they wanted to continue to play their favorite game. Halo 2 was actually very good right after it came out for live. shortly thereafter it was flooded with the young and obnoxious but you get my drift.Radelaide said:Damn... Stupid game...
Personally, I think it was stupid of them to keep playing on the servers. I mean, why do it? What incentive did they have? I'm glad this whole silly thing is over now.
Yes, aimless hate, because I still fail to see how this hurts you. Here we have a group of gamers that liked a game very much, decided to hold out on one final stand just to see how long they can last, got the support of both Microsoft and Bungie, and then were kicked from the game. Where in that sequence of events was there harm or injury to other people or to you? Where? This was an innocent little event that showed their dedication to a game. This story will probably be forgotten in a few weeks time, but it was cool to follow it while it lasted. Yet, you act as if someone slapped and spit in your face. Why get your panties in a bunch over something so inconsequential? This is one of the stupidest things to be angry about.Skullkid4187 said:Aimless hate? No, Bungie gave them several months to play halo 2 before it's multiplayer was cut out. But even after all those months they still refused to get off and idk play THE SAME THING ON HALO 3! But no they stayed on, causing bungie to lose money. And for what? A lil game, it's people like this that take video games more serious then life.fozzy360 said:Wow.Skullkid4187 said:THANK YOU!Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.
I just hate this shit. If the servers are closing, just let them close. I can only imagine the hell that will be unleashed when the CoD4 servers are shut down.
Such a simple, harmless thing to spark such weird and aimless hate. Did they take a dump in your cereal bowl?
Anywho, it's interesting to see this story finally come to a close. Awesome little bit of dedication this was
Yeah? And dedicated servers let you do that. They then let you get to know these people if you so choose OR you can move-on to a different server. Unlike X-Box Live which is basically the online gaming equivalent of speed dating. Not to say that it's a bad thing if it's what you prefer, but it IS a bad thing if you'd prefer to stay in a smaller community of people.Onyx Oblivion said:I like meeting new people!
Except in co-op games. I never join random people in co-op games.
This isn't even the worst of it. I've seen people here post for pages and pages ranting about shit that makes it look like they didn't even read the actual article. Gamers are notorious knee-jerk reactioneers who'll spout roughly 70% of their dictionary of insults before they've even given the situation a moment's thought. In other words, gamers of all ages are generally 5 years old.sravankb said:You know what I just realized - gamers seem to complain a lot. A LOT. It's getting fucking annoying. Let people do what they want if they like it. It's not gonna affect you.
That's what private matches are for with us console gamers.WhiteTigerShiro said:Yeah? And dedicated servers let you do that. No. They really aren't. Private Matches are people who already know each other all getting specific invites into a game. You don't meet new people when you only play private matches because new people can't randomly join the server. Said new people cannot then decide they like the community on the server and add it to their favorites list. What's more is that the community wouldn't be forced to disband because the company running the game decided it was no longer profitable to keep the community active. Sure they'd then be at the mercy of the owner of the dedicated server, but the glory thing about that is that if the owner decides to get rid of the server, someone in the community can pick-up where he left off with his own server.Onyx Oblivion said:That's what private matches are for with us console gamers.WhiteTigerShiro said:Yeah?
