THANK YOU!Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.
I just hate this shit. If the servers are closing, just let them close. I can only imagine the hell that will be unleashed when the CoD4 servers are shut down.

Good for you for saying what you truly belive. Then the idiotic escapist celebrity bullshit thing sets in. OMG Onyx you can't be mean, we all "know" you.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.

EDIT: Since I'm being attacked for saying this in a manner I wasn't expecting...allow me to to try and clarify why I find these people to be pricks. Look, the PC version is still online. The game is old as hell at this point, and can basically run on any machine made in the last few years, so if you love it that damn much, just move on to the PC version.
Agreed. Couldn't have said it better myself. Regardless of the fact there's another version on another gaming platform, the fact is the company wanted it shut off. They paid to rent time on those servers and have to respect the fact that the company wants to discontinue said service, regardless of their emotions. Squatting on something that doesn't belong to them is criminal and utulizing the fact that Halo 2 is a well known product to cause a PR issue is even lower than low.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Why are you so into acting like a child? Part of being a productive member of society, or being an adult as I prefer to call it, is accepting some truths to this world. One of those truths is loss. Proper individuals can accept that nothing great lasts forever and that it must come to an end eventually. Learning to accept this is apart of growing up and the sooner you can realise this, the better for you and everyone around you. Sadly, these individuals have not come to this conclusion and neither have you, apparently. Your hippie attitude of "stick it to the man" is bland, even if you see it as refreshing. It's been done and to no effect because at the end of the day, people still need a hiarchy, whether we like it or not. Someone needs to run Microsoft and make billions of dollars and someone needs to pick up everyone's trash. That's life. The sooner you live with that reality, the happier you'll be, as you can then work within the system to achieve what makes you happy.teh_gunslinger said:I'm sorry, but you come across as something of a consumer drone, with all the "Do as the dev say!" and "Move on to the next game regardless of quality!" talk. Why on Earth are you so into just doing as you are told?
What you have here is not an opinion. It's an attempt to look smart by disagreeing with others.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.

You don't know me very well. I'm not disagreeing with the majority to seem smart or cool or edgy.Giest118 said:What you have here is not an opinion. It's an attempt to look smart by disagreeing with others.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.

And, yes, disagreeing with a majority CAN make you intelligent. Unfortunately, your position here amounts to "HOW DARE THEY BE HAPPY, I HATE HAPPINESS, FUCK YOU GUYS!!1"
Congratulations.
I feel like I'm missing something here. How does your insulting disagreement with what these players chose to do with their time make them pricks?Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way, I think it was a tribute to how much they liked the game, not something malicious.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Buncha pricks.

To paraphrase Graham Stark, they turned a last hurrah into a death rattle.
Indeed. If you have any players willing to keep playing, while there's a sequel out, for weeks after you pull support, there is no way to take that as anything but a compliment. I think its very impressive and incredible that these players decided to do what they did. Especially Windex and Apache. Well played, good sirs, well played. I, and apparently Microsoft and Bungie, applaud you.danpascooch said:I think you're looking at this the wrong way, I think it was a tribute to how much they liked the game, not something malicious.Onyx Oblivion said:Finally. Bungie and Microsoft seemed flattered, they understood it was a COMPLIMENT, not a slap to the face.
