Sorry, people on here tend to be: Don't care about the books, so I assumed no one would have cared. Would you have read Glasslands anyway if I might ask?
Yes.

It was on order from Amazon and has just arrived this morning. I'm in the middle of reading Primordium and Glasslands on my next to read list.

Try to be more careful and try using the spoiler option in the future!

I will. But if to make it feel better. It's not the biggest spoiler of the book (smallest and sort of obvious if I may say so myself). No there is much to see when you read it.

I also hope you enjoy it. I did, but I will say the Halo community is pretty split on the book, some love it, some hate it will all their might.

I am also in the middle of Primordium atm, really good! :D

I never played Halo, but I'd like to see it bring back the run n' gun/corridor style of FPS gaming that used to almost make the genre a sport. I don't hear too much these days about the "competitive circuit" for games like MW3/BF3...

Cause nobody wants to watch some tool box lie prone in some bushes.

Nobody wants to watch someone press X and click on a map to get kills with killstreak rewards.

The FPS game that kills for you, that's about what it's come down today with the current generation. It's all designed so someone on a couch can have busy hands, stuffing their face with doritos and mountain dew and still be "playing." That's how FPS games went mainstream, they sold out the challenge in them to make them more user friendly.
Agreed. Don't make it like Call of Duty, please. No classes, no armour abilities (unless in certain game-types where everyone has the same ability ie. Jetpack Deathmatch) , and no stupid kill-streak awards. Keep team-killing in, because it just makes sense. Keep making well-designed maps, and keep it balanced. Make everyone start on an even footing. Unlike Call of Duty.

As for the singleplayer, make it a more lonely experience, like the original Halo was. Give us the sense of awe and wonder in exploring alien worlds and the secrets they hold. Also, don't be afraid to kill off Master Chief and/or Cortana. Let's get some real drama into the mix.

Add the flood and maybe forerunner tech to firefight, let people play as elites fighting off hordes of SPARTANS.
And ODSTs and marines for diversity of course.

Good Story, new gameplay system, big maps for multiplayer with new vehicles and no DLC
Why no DLC? Compared to other Shooters, Halo is a bit tame with it's DLC.

But it's map packs, and MAP PACKS R EVUL.

... I'm being half sarcastic there. I hate map packs. But, as you said, Halo is rather tame in that regard.

All I want in Halo 4 is for the Halo theme to be on a constant loop.
