Halo 4?

I was reading my Game Informer magazine last night and they had a small blurb talking about how it has been heavily hinted several times that there would be another installment in the Halo series and that it would be made by Gearbox, the makers of the Brothers in Arms series of videogames. I'm personally a little excited, I like Halo, and I like Gearbox games, so this should be good right? I'm also ecstatic that production is being moved away from Bungie, they've been treating their fans like shit lately.
I was wondering though: Do we really need another Halo game? Should they have switched production from Bungie to Gearbox?
What are your thoughts?

why and how? the chief is in the middle of nowhere and in cryo sleep. though i did see a vidoe for another halo game but it was just a short vidoe about halo 3 recon and the main character was an ODST not a spartan

Did you read the OP? I wasn't really talking about that, this is more about if the decision to make another one is right, not whether they will

That would be interesting, we would feel his pain and actually connect with him as a character instead of some faceless invulnerable hero. We would know that, he's not perfect, and that he can be weak like us to.

My friend and I were discussing this today, and we both agreed that Master Chief should just die so we could set up a hotline to help people deal with the trauma, like they did with Harry Potter.

Did the fight REALLY end? I mean, all Master Chief did was prevent them from setting off the Halo units and killed the evil space papacy. Gravemind and the Flood are still alive, The Brutes are still around along with remnants of the evil space papacy's army, and humanity still has it's back to the wall.

And it ends with Masterchief and Cortana plummeting towards a mysterious unnamed planet in a ship.

From what i've heard, theres no actual closure in Halo 3 at all.
