With the addition of Jastis as an extra sniper, the enemy combatants were going down at a fair pace. Everett had to fall into cover a few times when he narrowly avoided shot to the head; which given that he was a sharpshooter was a key area to aim for. Eventually a message came in over the radio, it was from Murphy.
"You going to come join us, or are you having too much fun?" He asked.
"Could say I am having fun Murphy; but I should be joining you in a few moments." Everett replied back as he reloaded a fresh magazine into his rifle, something he managed speed up on since he first entered the Marines. His fumbling in the early days nearly costed him his life a few times, but he made up for it with highly accurate shooting. Soon the area was relatively clear, what few members of the opposing force had gone; Everett then keyed in his radio to contact Jastis.
"Sir, I'm going to link up with the rest of Blue Team now." He said as he climbed down to a lower roof, and activated his camouflage, blending in with the surroundings almost instantly and began the short run to Sarah and Murphy. As Everett neared them, he could see a small group of about three enemy soldiers moving in on the others from a side alley. With them coming from the opposite direction, both Sarah and Murphy could be flanked.
Switching out his rifle for one of his combat knives and his pistol, Everett leaped from the roof as his active camouflage began to deactivate, and came crashing down onto the enemy; killing one with his knife and knocking another back. The third turned around and began to aim his weapon at Everett whilst the second tried to engage him in melee. They each traded blows for a few moments, both getting one or two good strikes, causing Everett to almost stumble over. It was then that he saw the third about to fire, he grabbed his melee opponent and used them as a shield, taking the kill shot in his place. Everett then threw the body at the other enemy, and with this momentary distraction, killed the enemy with his pistol.
After regaining his balance due to a mixture of the jump and several punches to the body, Everett made his way to both Sarah and Murphy, seeing the busted up door on his way in.
