Updated impression:

Still an awesome game. But now it's also HHHHHHAAAARD. Very, very hard. Any clues on what artifact I should go first? (and second) I tried them all, hoping one would be the obvious easier choice, and it would give me some power that would make the others easier.. or something. But nope! They're all super duper hard.

I've found an annoyance with the controls. It's when you try to leave the water while being able to sink and wall jump.

I did them water, tomb, mine but the mine gives you a really nice item. I would in hindsight go for the caves first then the tomb or water. I guess to sum it up the water is annoying but the prize is alright, the tomb is just straight forward and probably the simplest of the 3 though annoying due to the light gimmick and the mine is a pain to get into and once you get there its a further pain but the reward is great.

And yes leaving the water becomes quite frustrating later on.
I'm currently >97% through ^.^ almost over..... so close...

Oh cool, Norton won't let me run the installer because it's "high risk."

Just a few more months and I can stop using that program... ugh.
Really? Norton must be retarded, Kapersky let me do it just fine. But if it hadn't I'd have just turned it off for five minutes.

In other news it's a pretty fun little game, definately better on a controller though I think

Mwhahah done. Apparently the proper name for the evil bats is... moss bat. There's an enemy roll in the final credits. I think my biggest complaint is the music. It doesn't play enough! Simon Loveridge (i think that was his name) composed some awesome pieces but most of the game is silent. Anyway its a very old school game lots of precision jumping, good coordination and patience are needed to get through to the end. I enjoyed the hell out of it though it won't appeal to everyone. Yahtzee if you read this great game ^.^ And now I have to play it some more stupid credits trolling me! :p

Ain't nobody can say this man doesn't know horror. The Crystal Catacombs were FRIGHTENING. He knows exactly what makes a good scare. I don't care how many times those ghosts catch me, I will never stop shitting my pants.

Same here
I have Norton Internet Security (On Windows 7) and it also automatically deleted the file after it finished download because it had "Very few users and medium risk." So then I click on the N.I.S. icon in the taskbar and disabled Download Intelligence under Web protection.

After that it didn't delete the the .exe file, hope it helps. If not, your best option is to just take a look around Norton's options and disable whatever is causing it to auto-delete .exe files.

I can't seem to find the Web Protection section. I've been poking around the settings but I don't see anything that may be the cause of it. Any tips on how to get to it?

You can press F4 to change the screen size. There's small, medium and full screen.

It should be in or under options or setting (or any interface that would allow you to change any features).

Ok, I disabled the web protection in NIS and when I went to run the .exe file it deleted the game right then and there. So this time I decided to disable EVERYTHING in NIS (and it worked).

So just open a tab or webpage to the download, disable everything in norton, download the file, instal it, then try to run it. If the game starts working you can safely turn Norton back on.

so far, the game seems to run along the lines of "we're not quite as annoying as iwtbtg, but we sure as hell rub up against that boundary like a overaffectionate cat!"

A bug during the squid boss battle. After I got its health down part way any attempt to fire a grenade at it just brought up this message:

___________________________________________
ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event
for object egotop:

In script grenadescript:
Error in code at line 50:
if(gg.type = CH_PEACE) gg.goaway = 1
^
at position 10: Unknown variable type

Next attempt was fine.

Also, am I the only one having a hard time using the impact shot when facing LEFT? Seems if I don't let go of the left arrow key when firing the shot fails to go off.
