I'm... stuck. After the cave-in in the spyrite mines, it looks like I can't go anywhere. Long shot, but anyone know where the hell I'm supposed to go?
When you get to the cave in you have to go down and around V > ^ < V to get to the other side of the wall.
Yeah, I did that. There's a giant hunk of destroyable blue rock, a devil bunny and a jump too high to make. I have the wall jump and shotgun jump. Do I need something else, or is there something i'm missing?
No you don't need anything else but I forget the exact layout of the room I'll back track there (currently just faffin about) and post here when I get back to the room.

or take a screen shot of the room and pm it to me if you want.

PS theres a several timed puzzles in that area involving destroying the blue walls and trying to use them to reach areas when part of them are destroyed but not all.
Got through, thanks. It was a timing puzzle. First time there was something like that in the game. Devious yahtzee is devious.
NO worries, I got completely lost heading back that way and found 2 chests and a sausage thing. I'll give yahtzee this he really uses his different elements well (or at least in interesting ways. This is probably the first game where being in the dark was actually more comfortable then the light (those who've been there will know :p)

You gave up gaming?! And I thought I had it bad abandoning dessert-type foods...
Aye - generally I'll give up a couple of things each year, this time around gaming (includes Solitaire, anything on a screen; excludes card games with housemates) is one of them. Still trying to figure out whether it's been more or less difficult than last year's chocolate one... (not long to go!)

It was more to try and remove a distraction to revision for my finals than anything else, though in all honesty there have been plenty of things which have taken its place unfortunately (The GPLPs over at LRR and Ashens' Youtube channel are dangerous things to follow when you're a serial procrastinator!)

I'm stuck at the Oil Rig, baffled by the switch puzzle and those damn oil blots shooting red at you...

Other than that, such a sick game, thank you Yathzee.
Although you won't have too many by that point you can kill the shooty oil things with a grenade. You can't really use it against all of em but if there are specific ones that really get in your way it can help. Assuming you haven't tried all this yet of course :p

Ugh.... just raged quit after the first minute.

It's fun, and I'll keep plugging away at it, but dear god... If Yahtzee intended to make those bunnies the most annoying fucking things ever, he succeeded.

Bats. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaats.

...erm, yes. I really want to stick with this game, I'm only up to the first save point and already it's given me more chuckles than anything else I've played this year. But... fucking bats.

Updated impression:

Still an awesome game. But now it's also HHHHHHAAAARD. Very, very hard. Any clues on what artifact I should go first? (and second) I tried them all, hoping one would be the obvious easier choice, and it would give me some power that would make the others easier.. or something. But nope! They're all super duper hard.

I've found an annoyance with the controls. It's when you try to leave the water while being able to sink and wall jump.

I did them water, tomb, mine but the mine gives you a really nice item. I would in hindsight go for the caves first then the tomb or water. I guess to sum it up the water is annoying but the prize is alright, the tomb is just straight forward and probably the simplest of the 3 though annoying due to the light gimmick and the mine is a pain to get into and once you get there its a further pain but the reward is great.

And yes leaving the water becomes quite frustrating later on.
I'm currently >97% through ^.^ almost over..... so close...

Oh cool, Norton won't let me run the installer because it's "high risk."

Just a few more months and I can stop using that program... ugh.
Really? Norton must be retarded, Kapersky let me do it just fine. But if it hadn't I'd have just turned it off for five minutes.

***

In other news it's a pretty fun little game, definately better on a controller though I think

Mwhahah done. Apparently the proper name for the evil bats is... moss bat. There's an enemy roll in the final credits. I think my biggest complaint is the music. It doesn't play enough! Simon Loveridge (i think that was his name) composed some awesome pieces but most of the game is silent. Anyway its a very old school game lots of precision jumping, good coordination and patience are needed to get through to the end. I enjoyed the hell out of it though it won't appeal to everyone. Yahtzee if you read this great game ^.^ And now I have to play it some more stupid credits trolling me! :p

Ain't nobody can say this man doesn't know horror. The Crystal Catacombs were FRIGHTENING. He knows exactly what makes a good scare. I don't care how many times those ghosts catch me, I will never stop shitting my pants.

Same here
I have Norton Internet Security (On Windows 7) and it also automatically deleted the file after it finished download because it had "Very few users and medium risk." So then I click on the N.I.S. icon in the taskbar and disabled Download Intelligence under Web protection.

After that it didn't delete the the .exe file, hope it helps. If not, your best option is to just take a look around Norton's options and disable whatever is causing it to auto-delete .exe files.

Needless to say I am now somewhat disappointed
