Not really, no.

Though I will say that the one scene in Saints Row 2 was surprisingly moving. You know, that one Brotherhood mission.

Also Aisha's death. Played the first game, seeing her die in the second... just damn man.
I'm racking my brain here, which Brotherhood mission are we talking about again?
The one where they drag Carlos through the streets. You catch up to him... you hold his hand... and you end his suffering.
Oh wow, how did I not remember that? The one positive from that was the fact you could call Zombie Carlos as a follower.

OT: Never been moved to tears, but I sure came close at Sniper Wolf's death in the original Metal Gear Solid.

I've cried at a lot of games. (Not something to brag about, i know)

Final Fantasy 6, Lost Odyssey, Okami etc etc
It tends to be the story driven games that make me cry more, although that's a given, most of the time that's what they intend to do at some points in the game.

Okami.

The final battle between your character, Amaterasu and Yami. And it seems after the longest fight in the game, you've won. Ammy goes to let out a victory howl, only to be blindsided by a somehow still living Embodiment of Darkness. He drains her powers, then throws her down like a punk. Drained of her divine powers, Ammy's just stares Yami transforms again and starts to bear down on her.

Then, through probably one of the best cutscene's ever, she hears the prayers of all those she helped throughout her journey. Then, that faith in her, those prayers reach her restoring her to full strength to finally beat Yami and bring light back to Nippon.

It's the music that does it for me, it's just so GOOD.

No game to this date, out of the probably dozens if not hundreds, has made me shed a tear in response to what was happening in it. Only this.

Nope, I'm not a school girl. :D :p
Because crying makes you a girl? And being a girl is an insult?

OT: Glenn's story in Chrono Trigger. QQ
No one said it was an insult. Except you. :p
So let me get this straight:

Someone asks the questions "Has a game ever made you cry?", to which you reply "Nope, I'm not a school girl."

Where exactly I am misinterpreting anything you are saying? Leaving comments like that don't leave much room for anything but to feel insulted.

Someone asked a genuine honest question on these forums and the manner in which you replied was condescending, even if you did add a smiley emoticon at the end.

So you can continue to troll this if you want, but I suggest you follow the golden rule of the forums which is "Don't be an ass". (it is actually written in the rules fyi)

I don't have anything else to say on this.
dont normally bother with this kind of thing, but i gotta agree. i cant interpret his post as anything but condescending and dickish myself. But yeah, crying at a video game isn't a femnine thing, just as it wouldnt be for a movie, show, or book.

nearly all of the metal gear solids have brought me to tears each one has one part in it that are truly deep and sad (death of sniper wolf, death of otacons sister, death of the boss and ending of MGS4). they are the only games that have managed to do it.
Ninja'd. Well, almost. I didn't actually tear up, but during that scene in Metal Gear Solid 2 with Otacon and his sister, and Raiden and Snake just standing there, it was very poignant.

"Hal . . . call me . . . call me Emma." "What's wrong with E.E.? . . . Emma? Emma!" Why does it always happen to you, Otacon? Why, indeed.

The ending of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is pretty moving as well, provided you're a fan of the series.

The darkness. I can remember beating it and not being able to stop crying afterwards for a good five minutes or so. Still get a few tears in my eyes when I hear Jenny's theme. [youtube=05Ja7FPlHc0

These threads always give me pause for thought.

Are there really so many people out there crying as they play video games? Like, with actual wet salty tears running down their faces? Because I find it a little hard to believe.

OT: No. A few have made me feel sad, but tears are yet to emerge.

There is only one game that made me tear up, and that would be Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. I thought it was really depressing.

Persona 4. The train ride back home, That got me where it hurt.

And Teddie's voice-over made it even more depressing...

"Doesn't matter how far apart we are. The bonds we made will remain strong. Everyone's heart is connected to the people they know and trust. It's those bonds that led us all search for our purpose in life. As long as it's a purpose you believe in, there will always be a someone who can help you fulfill it. You, me, and everyone else; There are no barriers. Our hearts are one. Right, Sensei?"

No different than crying at a movie.

And since you are more immersed than a movie, then it doesn't seem so strange at all.

On the subject of E.E's death, I cursed Hideo Kojima that day. And I still do now...

I've never cried at a movie or a game. But I did feel
Dom's death in Gears of War 3.
