I've only really been banned from a minecraft server, which an admin decided to go power hungry and banned me and several other people without warning for what really was nothing ( I think I was making a dirt staircase up a hill because I was too lazy to go all the way around to use the huge stone one that they had made).
This was followed by the only time I've ever griefed anyone, where I logged into my sister's account the next day and proceeded to burn the main tower of the map to the ground, which was made completely of wood. I have never been more satisfied by vigilante justice in my life.

I was banned from a DotA tournament since I was suspected of being a hacker. People often get mad when they're completely destroyed in a game, though.

Got banned for three days in WoW for having a racist name. It was my nickname at the time and I didn't stop to think someone might whine about it. Also got banned for three hours for saying the words "gay porn". Someone got grossly offended for some reason.

I got banned from Runescape because me and my friend made up some bogus religion and we tried to convert people. For Club Penguin i got banned because i tried to convert people to communism(i have no idea it was just for kicks)
You should have claimed freedom of religion for the first, and claim political freedom for the second.

And no I've never been banned, I've never been able to come up with a good enough troll, and most games I play all the time I'd rather not get banned from.
Its Disney you're talking about. That mouse has an army of enslaved teenage girls and you want to talk ethics?
Plus neither apply on a privately owned domain?

I've been banned on servers for very high scores some games (And twitchy aim looks like an aimbot)

but that's quite rare, both in getting a high score game and getting banned for it.

Banned from a few multiplayer servers in CoD2, back when I was good at it. Because if I hear someone behind a corner shooting at the wall, pre-aiming round the corner and killing them, it must mean that Im wallhacking.

I received an email from Blizzard telling me my account had been accessed from America and used inappropriately for spam. I don't play anymore, but I plan to come back, I am dreading the day I do come back and my bank is fucking empty. Ah well.

Oh and Forza 3, twice. First for money glitching, second time for money 'hacking'/glitching (Technically a friend did it, I just sold a car on the auction house for 999,999,999cr and my friend bought it)

Had a three-hour ban in WoW once for AFKing in BGs (back when there was still any real point in doing it). Except for that, I've only been banned from like.. CoD and BF2-servers. That has only happened when I've joined random servers though, where they had some obscure rule I had never even heard of but admins enforced by banning without warning. Never had any problems on any of my "usual" servers, never even a warning, and those are servers that enforce maturity very strictly.

Well, you know those weird minecraft clasic servers that are massive holes that take 2 minutes to fall down. I fell down it, and was kicked for no-clip hacking.... wow....

as for anything that matters? No. I tend to be the good little boy. *sigh*

I've never gotten banned from a specific game, but I did have my Steam account disabled. Yes, I almost fainted. Thankfully it was a complete mess-up on Valve's part and I got my account reactivated four days afterwords.

Well my dad banned me from getting Dungeon Keeper, saying it was too spooky and violent for a child.

As for banned online, no, I've always been a good boy.

Got suspended from a MUD (multi-user dungeon - [purely text-based online multiplayer crpgs that used to be run through bulletin boards) once. Got it for repeated player-killing (often the MUD code would be freeware that was then used to build the MUD, and they wouldn't be able to turn player-killing off as the program would detect players and npcs as objects alike, hence 'mobs' from 'mobile objects'. So instead it was customary to just punish player-killers by recording the logs, then setting the player's present location to a 'jail' - usually a one room area with a description of a jail cell for flavour text, and no exits, so when you log on you just spawn straight to the description 'You are in a jail cell. There are no exits.' or similar.

Not from a whole game, but back when I played enough to be decent, I got banned from a Counter-Strike: Source server because I was kicking too much ass, so I MUST have been hacking.
This happened to me, but with Unreal Tournament 3. Apparently it's impossible to score an insta-kill headshot with the sniper rifle at close range while you're both jumping about without the use of an aimbot.

I kept getting kicked out on my bros TF2 account for trolling on a christian server.

"I am so surprised this server hasn't asked for donations yet?"

I get kicked and come back

"I am sorry, want me to sacrifice a lamb for forgiveness?"

Good times...
yeah, i hate 'christian' servers.

There WAS one in battlefield Bad company 2, & i was ALWAYS on the Russian team, and the enemies were kicking our asses.
they started going: Die communist basterds!
and: die you stupid Russian atheist dicks! convert now!
also this one: may you be damned in hell commies!

most of my team was full of 20 & 30 year old russians, & after getting on that servers teamspeak servers, we all became recon class( snipers) and filled their base with C4, they then got blown up, and i took out my rifle, and got about 80 kills there. Didn't get banned for hacking, but for saying, How do like me Commie Gun now bitches?!
So they banned me, & i reported to EA. they removed the server & perma banned all the members, and gave me 100 battlefunds for battlefield play 4 free.

i pretty much never act like a dick in games online, i find it takes up too much energy. only game i got banned off was the first halo, on pc. i very rarely play online multiplayer in anything to get really really good, but i went absolutely nuts on halo 1 online. there were only 2 servers i could get any kind of decent ping on in australia, both servers appeared to be hosted by some new zealand isp. i got banned from both. not for being a troll, but because i got so stupidly good at that game i was killing everyone and finishing games with 50 kills, everyone else scoring below 10.

so, i got banned for being too good at the damned game, and making the only new zealand servers unfun for everyone else.

and oh god i am with people on the retardation of jedi outcast towards the end there. i got so sick of the sillyness i stopped playing. idiot 13 year old admins on power trips hosting with their dads super fast broadband...

Oh God this thread is fantastic. "I was banned for trolling" before an insanely stupid idea of what constitutes as trolling. Saying/doing stupid things is not trolling.

I've never gotten banned (yet), because I try not to say anything offensive and I tend to stay quiet whenever people start to act strange. There have been a few times when I played Adventure Quest Worlds when everyone is getting along suddenly turns into insulting a certain person or the characters will start arguing with each other and use racial insults (they have to misspell it to get it posted, the website censors what we can say).

There have been a few people who I wish I reported, like one person who kept following me in the game asking me to tell him my full name (first and last). I have a rule that I won't tell people my last name or what town I live in.

Well,, this person was following me everywhere I went badgering me to tell him my surname, until I had logged off and then back in. He might have been banned because there were alot of people in the area and in my party when this happened and there is a text box in the corner of the screen, so everybody saw what was going on.
