Does that include replacing crappy copies? I've had 4 different copies of Final Fantasy VIII. Although the first one I got for free, so yeah. Most of the discs of my first copy ended up wrecked because I was an idiot when I was little, I have no idea why my second copy stopped working, my third copy never worked (friggin' ebay) and I ended up buying it again off the PSN Marketplace because that was guaranteed to not be broken.
Success!

Fallout 3 and TES IV because I like just playing on Xbox (It seems more reliable and I prefer to play on 360) and I have them on PC (They were cheap on Steam and I bought them to mod. Less reliable and more for messing around.). I play games more seriously on my Xbox and use a PC just with smaller games that I like messing around on like KSP.

Sounds expensive...

I've purchased Oblivion 5+ times, never once regretting it.
I've purchased most of my games library a second time on PC.
I've repurchased games after trading them in, realizing I liked them too much.
Got a few collector's editions on Amazon for the hell of it, already having the games themselves.

Morrowind: 2
Skyrim: 2
Unreal Tournament: 3
Unreal Tournament 2004: 2
Neverwinter Nights: 4
Neverwinter Nights HOtU:2
Neverwinter Nights SoU: 3
Mass Effect 2: 2
Dragon Age Origins: 2
Dragon Age 2: 2
Warcraft 3: 3
Starcraft: 3
The Sims: 2
The Sims House Party: 3
The Sims Hot Date: 2
Drakan Order of the Flame: 2
Beyond good and evil: 2

funny thing though, the second version of Mass Effect 2 was a collectors ed that I found on a sale.
But whenI tried to add the collectors ed content to my Bioware account I noticed that you can only have one product for each platform from each title, and I asked EA why and if there were any possibility for me to add the content any way.
they answered no, and then question why I would even get a second copy of a game in the first place...

I hadn't touched a CoD title since 2 on PC, but a lot of my friends pestered me to get BO on the 360. I was kinda addicted after a bit, so when they stopped playing I traded it for the PS3 version which other friends were still playing. They then stopped and the guys on the 360 started again, so I traded it the other way.

MW3 followed a similar pattern, although I only played about 5 hours on each system....

All in all, I spent nearly as much on those two titles (plus DLC) as I did on the two systems I was running them on... all the time complaining that I couldn't find the money to upgrade my PC

Hence the don't ask
Ouch. Too bad the game doesn't have a cross platform server.

That definitely sounds like EA. The company has been going downhill for a while now. I stopped buying from them after they forced Origin on us. That was the last straw.

Bought Bulletstorm twice, for PC and for X-Box 360. I wanted to support the developer since they were having financial issues.
Not that it mattered much in the end since EA screwed them over a few months after the release of Bulletstorm.

Metro 2033...I currently have 3 copies of it.
I bought it twice...one was a second hand copy from a store, the other was a "pirated" copy from KL - didn't expect that one to work
The third copy however was a gift from a friend over steam...so at least it works :D

I've bought Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare three times actually. The first time I bought it, I had quite a bad computer and It didn't run very well. I still enjoyed very much. Then, I bought it for my Xbox360 since I guess it would be able to run much better, but apperantly was almost half of the servers We're hacked and then my account somehow got below level one, and I was unable to even play it at the Xbox. Then, some time later, there was a Steamsale for the game, and I picked it up, because whythehecknotitscheap.

I bought digital editions of several of the older games I own.

I bought Deus Ex way back in 2000 at an EB Games location, then bought it again during a Steam sale for dirt-cheap (as my original game disc was scratched beyond belief due to many playthroughs).

I bought Ghost Recon around the time of its release, then bought a Collector's Edition tin that had the game and all its expansions, Advanced Warfighter and some physical goods (a hat, belt, t-shirt, messenger bag and making-of disc) when it was on sale at a Future Shop.

I also plan to buy the Baldur's Gate EE, even though I still own the "Original Saga" release that had the expansion and the soundtrack that came out on CD-ROM a few years back. I have a feeling I'll do the same with the BGII:EE, despite owning the "Complete" edition from Good Old Games.

I bought Gear of War 2 twice. First time I had it, finished it and had a lot of fun with it then I got tired of it and sold it. About one or two years later I bought it again because I remember having some much fun playing it.

I bought Silent Hunter 3 at least three times. Usually because I keep losing the older copy. And Borderlands twice, because the second time had lots of DLC thrown in at a bargain price.

Fallout 3, Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect 1 and 2 were games I bought again after my glorious ascension into the PC gaming master race.

Resident Evil 5 I bought twice because I (for some reason) regretted trading it in.

AAAAAAA!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity I bought twice because of Steam Indie Game Bundles.
