The end of the Futurama episode "Jurassic Bark". Where it shows Fry's dog waiting for him to come home for years with sad music playing. Poor Dog. *Sniff* Excuse me a minute...

Real men don't cry.

I was close at the end of Band of Brothers though.
Coincidently so did I, although my masculinity strained in the effort to avoid crying

also I cried at the end of Charlie and the chocolate factory.

I never cry, no matter how depressed and shit I feel, tears never form. Sure a lot of movies, songs and games tugged at my heart strings, but for some reason it just doesn't show on the outside. I can assure you though, I'm a sensitive guy from the inside, just often doesn't look like it. I get plenty of lumps in my throat, like at About Schmidt (gods that movie was the epitome of depression), Bolt and Wall-E, some episodes of Scrubs, Ocarina of Time, just to name some. Some of them even made my eyes wet, and that's pretty rare.

But the only thing I can remember that actually invoked a tear (ok just 1, and wet eyes) was The Holiday I watched a week or so ago. Beautifull movie.

I haven't read it in almost 15 years, but Where the Red Fern Grows used to get me every time I read it. I don't think the writing on it was very good though so I don't think it would have that effect on me anymore. I never cried when Ol' Yellow died though...

I cried at the end of Requiem for a Dream, and have cried while listening to Barber's Adagio (cliche but I don't care)

It's affirming in a lot of ways that something can affect someone in such a powerful way for me

I Will not lie, I cried at the end of Earthbound.

The fight was long and difficult, but I fought Gigyas valiantly. The emotion came after I found out there were lyrics to the song.

Here is the song, and lyrics, in Japanese and in English. If you do what I did and play the words in your head as you picture Ness singing them... It should make your eyes well up like it did mine, and that "I Miss You"... I was so moved.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXGd1CxjX2s

English Lyrics:
(Note that these aren't meant to go with the melody, they are just straight translations)

I haven't lived even half as long as adults have,
but I do have plenty of memories in my backpack
My favorite baseball cap, my sneakers with worn-out heels
Deep in my pocket is my worn-down guitar pick
There were some things sad enough to make tears come out,
but you were always by my side
I thought of the two of us as just friends the whole time
I probably loved you without ever realizing it

We walked while we laughed, played, and got hurt
I realized it as we took shortcuts and went in circles:
that even if you can't believe in everyone
you can't cast aside a heart you do believe in
You made me stronger just being who you are
Like a gentle wind blowing and swaying the grass
you always walked with a smile

Yes, the two who shared smiles and tears one after the other...
(I miss you)
are now far apart

Japanese Lyrics
Otonatachi no hanbun mo ikitewa inai keredo
omoide no kazu naraba ryukku ni ippai sa
o ki ni iri no besubooru kyappu kakato tsubureta suniikaa

I couldn't hold it back when they did the interviews with the old fella's at the very end. That was a fucking awesome series.

Also in Hook, when the little black kid is messing with his face. Err and the end of Marley and Me. Don't judge me, that movie was deceptively good.

Quite a few episodes of Scrubs. But I always watch them, they're a fantastic depression cure - most likely because it gives you an excuse to feel sad enough to cry
