The third faceless angel took up a stance, then advanced. It did not charge like the other two angels, but rather circled Curtis, who could not move a great deal due to the damage to his foot. He had no choice but to wait, as he was not in a position to actually attack.

The angel got to around 5 meters away, then lunged at Curtis, raising it's blade as though to strike from above. Curtis held up his chain, gripped tightly in preparation to trap the weapon, but suddenly the angel twisted, and the attack from above became an attack from below. Curtis just blocked it with the sickle.

The angel backed away, and swapped the hand with which he was holding his weapon. Curtis lashed the weight out, attempting to intercept it as it passed from one hand to the other, but missed, and had to throw himself at the ground to avoid a counterattack from the angel. He rolled to avoid another attack, then got up hastily.

Defense is my only option right now, but I need to go offensive at some point.

Curtis started to swing the weighted end of the staff in a circle, accelerating it's speed until it was a blur. The angel could not get through. It circled around for a while, then took up a defensive stance.

Curtis then went to the offensive. He changed the way his kusarigama swung, aiming it right at the angel. The angel blocked with it's sword, but the weighted end coiled around the sword, so a yank on the chain disarmed the angel. The angel vanished.

Good. You have demonstrated that you can think on your feet with that, and that you are good at adapting to different attacks. Your training with those angels is complete. We have a little more training for you, then we will be taking you back to your world.

[spoiler:Hey Xero my character is fixed]

Hey my character sheet is fixed and it has him still as a cop at 17 but only 3 months missing, is that good or does he need to be older?
[/spoiler]
still needs to be older. a cop is a full time job, so the guy has to be at least 18. sorry for being picky, but it might get a little tricky when talking backstory or something. if you want to keep the age, you can just have him nearly die in a crossfire or something.

-------Greed
Greed licked his lips. "Man, you sure do know how to entice a guy. I've never been known to turn down a challenge, especially when there's a high reward at the end, especially if it's bright and shiny. What's the plan, Van?" Greed snapped his fingers and a Bougati appeared at the end of the driveway. "I'm ready when you are."

A Bougati is the fastest car on earth. it can reach top speeds of 300. it looks somewhat like an Enzo Ferrari.

Van grined "Well it depends, do you want to go in and our stealthily or do you want to make a litle noise?" he said as he steped into the car

"Basically my first plan involves all the usual heist stuff: disabling laser grids, shuting down alarms, knocking out gaurds, carfully baging the goods while we intricatly time various events to ensure a clean getaway, basically all the stuff you usually see in a movie. My other plan was we blow a hole in the wall, grab the stuff, get in you hyperfast car and get the hell out of dodge."

"Which one do you want Greed?" Van asked

It's the eye of the tiger, it'e the thrill of the-

"Could you stop singing? It hurts my ears."

"Oh, sorry. But enough of the apologies, we have one more thing to do. A duel." Gabriel materialized a sword out of nowhere. Jackson pulled out his blades, and began to fight. Instantly, he realized this wasn't going to be easy. Every time he spun and slashed, Gaberiel did the same. Every time he lunged through the air, Gabriel deflected it with a perfect block. Then, he knew what to do. Jackson slashed with one blade, and as Gabriel went to block it, he used the other to disarm him and held it to his throat.

"Game, set, and match. How do you like that?"

"Very impromptu. I like it."

"Impromptu. Just what I go to when I need to."

I hate rappers, thought Gabriel.

Staring around, Curtis waited for his next opponent to appear. There was no-one there. What was the next test if there wasn't an opponent?

As he thought this, he was struck in the face with an almighty blow that sent him sprawling to the ground. He rubbed his face, and looked around hurriedly.

There was no-one there. He saw nothing as he stared frantically around him, wondering what was happening. A thought occurred to him, but it came at the same moment as he felt himself get kicked in the face, sending him rolling this time.

He got up as quickly as he could manage.

What's going on? This isn't a test. What's happening in there?

Not a test? Curtis started to swing his weighted end of his kusarigama in a circle again, as he had done in the last test. He circled it around him, using it as a shield against whatever was attacking him.

Suddenly it caught on something. As it span, it apparently hit an invisible object, and started to coil around it. It turned out however, that this object was moving, as once again it accelerated forwards and hit Curtis in the face, sending him reeling. He was smiling as he got hit though.

For he had already won against whatever this was. He had it caught in his weighted chain, and he still held the sickle end. He got up, and, ignoring the pain in his foot, lunged at his invisible assailant. The blade stuck into something behind the coiled chain, and remained there briefly. Then the coil dropped, and the assailant was gone. Curtis sagged to the ground.

Excellent. You defeated this test with quick thinking, in an air of real pressure. You have proven yourself worthy of becoming a champion of heaven.

Curtis smiled as he heard this, before he received another blow to the head, and woke up, having fallen off his bed and smashed his head against the desk.

"Hmmm... i think i wanna go in sneaky. then we come out guns ablazin'. Best of both worlds, baby. Otherwise, it just ain't much fun, is it? When do we go?" He licked his lips in anticipation.

Okay, once Van answers this, i'm gonna have to stop the Greed training scene. I think i'm gonna use this as an entrance to the first major fight between the Holies and the Infernals. But first i have to think of something really holy, something worth fighting over. Sound good to you guys?

Van looked over at Greed

"There is a vent in the roof of the building, we have to climb down it to get to the security room. Once in there we can knock out the gaurds stationed there and disable the security countermeasures. Then we just stroll down to the special display and grab what we like. If we get into any troble, we have this

He reached into his overcoat and extracted a sphere type device.

This is a high powered permecrete explosive, enought to bust through a three foot thick steel door, we can blow a hole through the wall and leave once we get what we want."

He grinned

"Coulden't be simpler"

Name: Nine of Swords
Age: 120
Alliance: Infernal
General: Vaudevillian Veteran
Weapon: A large wooden wheel that floats at his back. Nine swords jut from the centre of the wheel, like spokes, their handles pointing outwards for Nine of Swords to grip them.
Bio: Nine of Swords, whose real name he has forgotten, was kept alive by Infernal necromancy well beyond the point of death. Nine of Swords' only function is to kill endlessly, as he serves Wrath. Clad in black robes with a white featureless mask on his face. The name is taken from the Tarot card, which predicts misery and suffering if drawn.

From the very darkness, a demoniac figure springs out, weilding two broadswords. It stops short of Van and Greed, not making a sound, not making a move. Seeing Greed, the grotesque figure bows in respect to the demonic General.

'Milord, I did not see ye. I pleed for forgivness at my irrational outburst.'

Jackson woke up in bed, his dog licking his face.

"Alright, alright, let's get you some food." Jackson's dog was a Rottweiler named Ripper. His name was a misnomer, as Ripper, according to Jack, probably wouldn't hurt a fly. (He would be proven wrong in that case.) Jackson poured some kibble in his bowl and had breakfast as well. After that, he took Ripper for a walk to Eddie's house for a visit. When they got there, Ripper began barking at the top of his lungs. Jackson ignored this, as Ripper did it all the time. As he walked in the door, he noticed something was wrong. A thin trail of blood was leading into the next room. Jackson raced in there, only to find Eddie's disemboweled corpse sread-eagled on the floor. As he knelt down and began to cry, (He was a sensitive fellow, despite what you might think,) he heard a demonic voice come from below.

"Oh, boo hoo. Jacky-boy's little friend got mauled. Mwahahahah."

uh-uh. what are you doing? One: I already have a Wrath. only one Infernal character per Mortal sin. 2: Why on earth did you post without me okaying it? That's almost a surefire way for me to say no. I believe Gluttony is the only remaining Infernal. Though Envy might be open.

EDIT: Oh. are you trying to merely be a high-ranking demon? That would be okay, but seriously, please ask me before you post.

Okay ladies and gents, time to get the main storyline a-rollin'!
----------------Greed
Greed walked towards his car, Van in tow. Suddenly he stopped, almost as if confused. Then, he fell down, shrieking in pain. "GAAAAAAHHHHHH!" He roared. He placed his hand over his face. His exterior was vanishing, one half of his face could be shown to be pure, swirling darkness. "RAAAHHHH!" Van stopped confused on what is happening. Greed grabbed Van's arm, in an unbreakable vise-like grip. "They have It! They have a shard of the Lancea Longini!" He pulled down Van, and spoke in his ear. "Go, find the other Infernal Champions." He grabbed a diamond out of thin air and pressed it against Van's arm. It dissolved, leaving a mark on his arm. "This is the Mark of Greed. It will help you find the others. Go, now and find the Shard!" Greed shrieked one more time and vanished, unable to take the pain.

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, you have your duties. Go, find the first shard of the Lancea Longini! (True name for the Spear of Christ.) More info shall be revealed later on in future posts. GO!

---------Pride

Pride talked to Greed as he returned to hell. Pride immediatly knew what had happened; only the Lancea Longini could cause such wounds to a Mortal Sin. He put his hand on the great Mark of Pride and sent out a message to all Infernal Champions.

"Attention! This is Pride. the first Shard of the Lancea Longini has revealed itself. Van Pasterbelt, the champion of Greed, knows the location. Now go, and retrieve it for the glory of Hell!"

Suddenly, Jackson heard a noise in his head. It took him a while to figure out what it said, but he realized it was saying, "Van Pasterbealt... Van Pasterbealt... He didn't know why, but he felt he might have a connection to Eddie's death.

"Come on, boy, let's go." Jackson walked Ripper out the door and went to his apartment to get a phone book.

ah, sorry! i thought i had removed you from the other dimension. i've been a little spacey recently; you'll have to forgive me.
--------------Lust
"I'm fine. Where will you have me begin" Lust heard these words, but only dimly. He was devoting most of his attention to Pride. When the message was over, he clapped his hands and returned them to Valentina's apartment. "As a matter of fact, i think I already have something for you to start with." Lust smiled. "Go find Van Pasterbelt. He is the Champion of Greed. You know him, certainly. I want you to steal a shard of the Lancea Longini. Van will have answers. Now go!" Lust warped Valentina onto Van's backyard, just shielded from prying eyes by the Bougati in the driveway.

Jackson walked up to Pasterbealt's house and knocked on the door. As he did this, he heard a noise coming from behind him. It turned out a Bougati was pulling into the driveway, just as a woman appeared behind a bush.

"Oh, shit," he thought, "What have I gotten myself into?"
