The third faceless angel took up a stance, then advanced. It did not charge like the other two angels, but rather circled Curtis, who could not move a great deal due to the damage to his foot. He had no choice but to wait, as he was not in a position to actually attack.
The angel got to around 5 meters away, then lunged at Curtis, raising it's blade as though to strike from above. Curtis held up his chain, gripped tightly in preparation to trap the weapon, but suddenly the angel twisted, and the attack from above became an attack from below. Curtis just blocked it with the sickle.
The angel backed away, and swapped the hand with which he was holding his weapon. Curtis lashed the weight out, attempting to intercept it as it passed from one hand to the other, but missed, and had to throw himself at the ground to avoid a counterattack from the angel. He rolled to avoid another attack, then got up hastily.
Defense is my only option right now, but I need to go offensive at some point.
Curtis started to swing the weighted end of the staff in a circle, accelerating it's speed until it was a blur. The angel could not get through. It circled around for a while, then took up a defensive stance.
Curtis then went to the offensive. He changed the way his kusarigama swung, aiming it right at the angel. The angel blocked with it's sword, but the weighted end coiled around the sword, so a yank on the chain disarmed the angel. The angel vanished.
Good. You have demonstrated that you can think on your feet with that, and that you are good at adapting to different attacks. Your training with those angels is complete. We have a little more training for you, then we will be taking you back to your world.
