Charge your lazors, but dont fire them. Your body will feed of the build up energies.

OT: Consume hilarious amounts of carbs.

Wait I don't get the problem. Your getting more sleep, feeling more relaxed. why don't you cut down on the visiting of said website and do your work?
Hiss, boo.
My god it's turning into a panto.

Seriously though just do your work during the day.
I've lived far too much of my life as a professional procrastinator though. The whole insomnia thing would just kind of play into my hands.

That may actually be it... I'm not eating as much food it seems. I'll work on that food thing...

There's something that's been bothering me ever since Wednesday this week... I think my insomnia is gone. This is horrible! I'm getting tired at normal times! I'm sleeping more than 6 hours on weekdays! I'm feeling a little more rested on said weekdays! This completely screws me over. I always do the work I'm supposed to do at night because I can't sleep anyway, so it makes it easy to get everything done. Now my work will go unfinished or finished under a half asleep haze!

Help me Escapists; how can I get my insomnia back?
You could just start doing your work before 10 at night, and get a good nights rest.

My provastination methods don't result in me doing work late every night, they result in me doing an absolute shit ton of work on one day set aside exclusively for work (this is generally defined as the day before said work is due). Adopt this approach instead, and then you have room for sleep each evening.

So much Coffee talk. That's great and all, but caffeine will only keep me awake for an hour, tops if I use it to keep myself up that way. I want my insomnia to return, the one that would keep me awake no matter the situation as long as something was on my mind.

And I'll make sure to keep away from Brad Pitt...
Attempt to worry about your work then. Pretend that everything is due the next moring, helps me stay awake. Then again, with me i have only one thing that keeps me awake (no not sex) and that is worrying when i havn't heard from someone that i love to worry about. Then i can lie awake thinking they are hurt or even dead (now i've solved getting my insomnia back, i just need to fix the crying into my pillow). Lol

Yea, but then I'd have to do that work...

Oh, but I do use that approach... I just do all that work at night...

Thats unsustainable procrastination-ism. It's pretty much as bad as global warming.

Well, it was terrific when I had this hole insomnia thing. I've always been able to live perfectly well throughout the day on just 1-3 hours of sleep, so I'd have about 3-5 hours to do any work I needed to do.

Considering that it will probably take away about 20 years of your life,
you're better off this way.

Think about the fact that if you sleep, you'll wake up in approximately 7 hours but it will seem as if no time has really passed.

That happened to me a lot in college. Total Insomnia one week, nothing but tired the next. Retraining the mind to sleep and awake at a certain times will work; but it will take a month or so for it to balance out. Super-Loud alarm clocks and chocolate covered coffee beans for help awake. For sleep, tea and writing. And all at specific times, at least until you can sleep on your own.

Simple as this, your body has adapted and is trying to make you sleep.
What to do: get into a yelling match with your body and win
