Well, as for me, I've only heard Americans criticize their own country. A European would much rather list reasons his country is superior to my own, I find.

but this site is still hosted in America by Americans and most of the articles are done by Americans. there for it is a bit silly to say that most of the site (most users here are Americans) hates Americans.

actually, it's not entirely obvious which group has the most members, technically it's the US but nobody but the employee's know whether or not the US makes up half the forum members. not only that you have to take into account how many active members are from each area, and I know most active members are not Americans. On top of all that, aren't Americans allowed to hate America? Just because Americans make the content doesn't mean that Americans are the only ones to read them, let alone half of the readers, I'll repeat myself, the internet has no race nor nation, people can think whatever they want about whatever without thought for national pride on the internet.

none the less i still haven heard that many Americans talk badly about their country in the same way that other people would about theirs. America is quite a patriotic country.

There fixed that for ya. We're more patriotic than most countries but the Americans on this site fall under the portion of the US that aren't all that patriotic, well most of them.

Do the Americans of the Escapist have to ***** about their country if they don't like it? I for one am not exactly proud of my countries actions but I don't hop on an internet forum and fume about it.

My opinion regarding Americans such as my self is a resounding, "Meh." The majority of the people I've met do not fit that stereotype placed upon them. I hope in the next few years the stereotype placed upon us changes, after all, according to the popular vote in the last election there are more democrats and normal republicans than there are gun toting, wife beating, bush Nazi's.

Most American girls like the Australian accent, but then again, who doesn't. Australians are not hated over here in the least. Of course that doesn't mean they like Australians, they just don't hate them. (speaking form personal experiences in the Mid-West)
