I've just read that Heroes has been officially cancelled but it will wrap up with a TV movie sometime next season. So how do feel?

Personally, it feels like putting a lame horse out of its misery. It began as something very new and shiny but the promise of what it could have been was squandered beyond belief.

Although season 2 was mind bogglingly bad (mainly due to writers strike), it has been slowly getting better in my opinion. I mean don't get me wrong, season one was just amazing, but the most recent season wasn't too bad. They need to sort Sylar out though, instead of just continuously having him switch from bad guy to good guy every 5 episodes.

It was definitely 'soap opera' bad in a lot of scenes. Season 4 was ok because they didn't try too hard but there really was no way back from the dreadful season 2 and season 3 just made things worse.

I do hope not. I like the show a lot. I will miss if it is. I'm not saying that you are lying but I see no proof, unless this is big news that I haven't heard about yet. Do you have a link?

EDIT:

Who cares about Heroes anymore anyway?

I care a lot more about FlashForward being cancelled. Pissed me off that a lot of questions are gonna go unanswered since it was supposed to be done over 3 serieses.
And you are just rubbing salt into my wounds. Do you have a link as well for proof? Damn it why is it all the shows I like seem to be ending now. If Flashforward is canned I will be a little pissed.

Like Lost I didn't get the whole "greatness" behind it anyway, so I'm not too shocked. I watched the first season, but we two couldn't bond for some reason...

I loved it. Even when it was shit. Second series was when it died. If theyjust halted it mid series I could've forgiven it, but no. They hashed it up completely.

The only good Heroes was season 1. Every subsequent season is fucking retarded. WHY DID NATHAN HAVE TO DIE?! CLAIRE IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE, JUST SWAP SOME BLOOD AND BINGO, NOT DEAD!

They should've removed Claire from the series altogether imo. She's played by a mediocre (at best) actress, and doesn't do anything other than act like a brat without regard to the feelings of others. She can't be killed and yet she's always the damsel, it's maddening.

Really sad about Flash Forward though.

Thank Feck For That

Goddamn that show went downhill fast.

Their problem, I reckon, is that they loved their characters too much, and couldn't bear to kill them or change them in any meaningful way. The characters became dolls that were still in their packaging, and the stories just sorta slipped feebly between the boxes they were kept in

I'm a heroes fan and everything.

So thus, this news is wonderful to me.

It's like finally being able to pull the plug on a suffering, extremely racist due to senility grandparent.
