Yeah, I'm allegedly the worst thing to happen to the game industry because I can't fork over $600+ towards a "decent gaming PC" every two years.

"You play on a console? OMG!!! Stop holding the industry back, fanboy!!!!"

Getting really sick and tired of having to put up with that. Want me to get a PC and "stop holding the industry back"? Then by all means send me the money to buy a gaming PC. Aren't willing to do that? Then shut the &^%* up!

I don't have wealthy parents, or a cushy job, so I can't afford a gaming PC. Get over it.
I prefer my keyboard and mouse, to a controller. I also prefer the versatility of being able to jump into a game, or leave the game and do something more productive, or just watch cat videos on youtube.

I could afford to upgrade my computer, but I'm not. I'm not about to waste $1,000 on an electricity guzzling, jet engine/space heater, plus software. A five year old computer has plenty of life left in it.

1) I buy every Humble Bundle but never pay more than just enough to get the bonus game. Also I only play half of the games in the bundles.

2) I buy sequels more than new titles.

3) I buy the same game over and over again with different names and it makes me happy. I appear to have already figured out that I like and only want to buy the same game with new maps.

4) I hate motion controls and touch screens.

I hold the industry back by casually refusing to try titles from genres I don't normally play. Even the most highly praised games will go unplayed if they look too weird or too far from my comfort zone. The more people get set into specific genres of games, the the more boring and insipid those games will seem, if only through constant repetition and similar tropes and gameplay.

Right now, I can barely be arsed with yet another FPS, even though it would be from one of my favourite genres. Had I diversified more, I might not have felt that way. Plus, more money would be going to different genres, promoting a greater focus on none FPS games.
