Usually I'm pretty good at not getting tricked into playing games that are going to be complete crap and as such I tend to end up rating games on a bell-curve. Roughly ~80% or so of all games I play fall in the middle peak of the curve ranging from 'sorta-good' to 'REALLY good' while at the same time there's only about ~10% or so of games I would call 'absolute crap' and by the same token there are VERY few games I call 'Great' games.
But enough overselling it, my list of great games is as such:
1) Half-Life 1
2) Final Fantasy VI
3) Star Craft
4) Half-Life 2
5) Half-Life 2: Episode II
Now don't get me wrong, BioWare puts out some quality product, but so far every single one of their games has been grievously flawed in some way thus relegating them to 'Good Game' status and not 'Great Game' status. Mass Effect II came close, so very close, to being a 'Great Game' that it saddens me to go back to it seeing the problems it has and finding myself lamenting what it could have been.
Having said all of that it's easy to see when I have three of my top five games of all time filled with offerings from Valve, and BioWare has yet to put out anything that reaches the same height of quality & polish, then it's not really a contest for me.

Unfortunately,im all too familiar with that concept, i still find it hard to believe however.. one time in my school, A fight broke out that ended in boy A curb stomping boy B's face into the dirt,i shit you not, i ask around and find out the fight started cos boy A called final fantasy crap, and boy B didn't like this,and it escalated from there.. I always thought SE had a huge fanbase,and even with the zerg rushing rats from facebook i thought there would be enough for SE to pull through, still im not hung up or anything,valves still my no.1, Just baffles me alittle.crimson5pheonix said:
