It makes it much more fun.
Yeah that's true.
...
You know, honestly I think Valve has been getting lazy...=P
Maybe it's the nostalgia goggles but I think Bioware hasn't matched the quality of BG1&2 yet.
I did really like Portal, though. I just don't understand the fuss about Half-life 2. Can you explain why you think it's good?
Mass Effect (35 Hours)
Mass Effect 2 (60 hours)
Dragonage i left and came back to now and then it was quite good (120 hours gametime)
Neverwinter Nights (Woah. This ate a lot, but i think its more Atari than Bioware)-3-500 Hours
Halflife 2 i was locked at the computer till the point of finish because of the interresting storytelling combined with some of the best gameplay of its time ( 20 hours gametime )
But when you add the couple of halflife 2 mods...
(Garry's mod) [360 Hours played)
(Battlegrounds 2)
(Synergy)
(Age of Chivalry)
(Obsidian Conflict)
(Zombie master)
(Zombie panic)
-All mods apart from Gmod rounds up to about 100
-Numbers come from steam. All except neverwinter nights where i just made a good guess (Playtime times Days equals- I believe i played enough of each to be a judge
If it was between a Bioware game or a Valve game i would almost every time choose a valve game due to the Half Life series being easily modable. Few DLC and most of the stuff that comes is Free! (Im looking at you 60$ ofmass effect DLC)
And They are in my opinion more well written and it has such a big modding community that basicly opens whole new games for free all downloadable over steam.
All in all i believe Valve gives more for the money in Patches and its Modding communit than Bioware does in its patching and biowarepoints DLC
(Sorry for reviving a dead thread didnt see how old the last post was
