If its a Mummy, burn it. If its a Vampire, stake it , decapitate it, burn it, spread the ashes over the ocean. If its a Ghost, destroy the Item or Place it is bound to. If its a Banshee, you cant. If its a wight, crush it, smash it, grind it, mix it with cement and hope that it works. or just kill the Necromancer behind it.

Well if it's dead, it's dead. You see, you only wrote "How do you kill what's already dead", meaning that what's dead isn't necessarily walking around killing. So yeah, it's dead. no need to resurrect it and then kill it.
