Anyhow, 3 years is a long time to be doing videos on the Internet, so I'm not surprised he's got that many.
Technically that wasnt ZP that was just Yahtzee doing his own thingmanythings said:There are plenty of successful tv shows that probably couldn't boast that kind of viewership over the years.Outlaw Torn said:It could just mean that making a video (almost) every week for three years adds up to a lot of views too. Or a lot of people like yellow and swearing. Personally I like the yellow. And didn't ZP start with The Darkness?
Aww nuts, I'm such a tard. Hur derp, nevahmind.Mackheath said:It was just a piss-take of all the trolling morons who do all the "FIRST" crap on his videos. Don't worry, I'm not quite sane.Vanguard_Ex said:...the hell you talking about Mackheath? You ain't first, fool!Mackheath said:FIRST COMMENT!

Agreed though, 3 years without going stale is impressive indeed.
Yahtzee's series of reviews didn't get a name until he actually joined the Escapist (infact, I think it was Editor-in-Chief Russ Pitts who suggested the name in the first place). The Darkness demo and Fable: The Lost Chapters reviews were merely video content for his personal website Fullyramblomatic. As such, they don't really count.Outlaw Torn said:It could just mean that making a video (almost) every week for three years adds up to a lot of views too. As long as you call it niche, not "nitch", which I've heard it pronounced a bunch of times recently.John Funk said:Sure, Zero Punctuation is hilarious, but it's also aimed squarely at core gamers, an audience that many would still call "niche."
Not to be a douche or anything. But I'm quite certain that quoting them would have helped them notice your post.Archon said:Jim Grin/Vitagen, if you look at the underlying AdAge article that this is referencing, AdAge is offering the *total* views the top content creators on YouTube have gotten, which are in the 60 million to 200 million plus range. We are comparing apples to apples - Yahtzee's total views to their total views.
Lucky bastard.Archangel357 said:Book's been here since Saturday, I have no idea what you're complaining about...Daemascus said:Its nice to see that Yahtzee gets more views than a "funny" cat video.
[sub]Now if only his damn book would get here already[/sub]
That said, oh Lord, this will inflate Yahtzee's ego to Galactus-like dimensions.
True but surely the amount of video's count? You could compare all his videos to a guy who's made three short ones and say your comparing the same thing, all of Yahtzee's to all of hisArchon said:Jim Grin/Vitagen, if you look at the underlying AdAge article that this is referencing, AdAge is offering the *total* views the top content creators on YouTube have gotten, which are in the 60 million to 200 million plus range. Thats what I'm thinking as well. I really hope something as retarded as Fred didn't surpass him...mjc0961 said:He beat that Fred thing, right? Please tell me that Fred isn't one of the few that surpassed ZP.
