2 hours or 2-3 chapters/levels. Usually whichever comes first.

Though rarely there's a game like Dear Esther where I finished the entire thing in about 2 hours and it never did grip me. I really only stuck it out just to see if it was going anywhere(Spoiler: it doesn't).

I haven't played a bad game in a long time, but a bad game isn't going to magically going to become good. So, not very long.

I used to. I used to try. I have FF13 14 hours of my life. I tried to like it. I tried to see the good in things. But there was nothing good there. I'm much less charitable now. I don't have time to waist on something that isn't fun.

I watched the game(and XIII-2) as a youtube LP(where they pretty much only showed the cutscnes and occasional cuts of walking/battles. That was 10 hours of my life for two games I didn't pay for and I still feel like I'm out 20 hours.

And I really love the concept behind the games. I like the world they set up and kind of like the plot they were trying to convey. But the gameplay and a lot of the dialouge is just awful.
