40+ Hours, me and some friends all got it, bought our supplies, went back to our respective houses, and all we did nearly all weekend has been eat, sleep and play Skyrim :p Still haven't really started the main quest either

I've probably played about 20 hours. I've touched on some of the quest lines (played the main quest up until the Greybeards)- the Winterhold College quests are really interesting- but I've mostly just walked to all of the major towns except Dawnstar and Morthal.

I had never played an elder scrolls game before this and had not looked into this game at all and had no intentions of buying it, until my brother bought a copy and insisted I play it, I think I got addicted the second I was insta-killed by a giant, I saw it as a challenge and am now buying it first thing tomorrow.

21. God I can't wait to get on to my next playthrough so I can do a rogue or mage. I love warrior but I just want to experience all the things!
if you become a destruction mage you can get a perk called impact where you can essentially stun-lock you enemies by casting dual-casted fireballs. It drains magicka really quickly, but it has been infinitely helpful with dungeon bosses and keeping back large mobs. It doesn't help with dragons though :(
Thanks for the tip! I love that this game makes me retry shit. It's not just about numbers but how you approach a fight. I have gotten my ass handed to me as an axe and shield warrior over and over again by an enemy only to take into account my surroundings (tactical retreats, using pillars and terrain to my advantage) and all the other weapons in my arsenal (my very nice dwarven lightning bow, my shouts and my potions) and then own them.
I recently made my way up to winterhold college though and tried my hand at magic to feel very weak. I understand I'm not trained in it at all but how do you deal with close quarters situations? And are scrolls useful? They seem to have a long cast time. I won't continue the quest line because I want to save it for another playthrough.

Quite a few... I'm thinking 20+

Time flies so fast when you're playing that game.

None at all, because I don't own a copy of the game and never plan to.
Then what did you comment for, no one gives a shit about your dislike for the game. If the game doesn't interest you why are you looking at the forum pages related to it. Idiot.

OT: Oh and around 30 hours I think, got a few days off from school this week so I'll rack up more hours.

Around 40? But like 7-8 of that was my Brother. Pretty impressive, seeing as I got 2 English Essays, a History Essay and like 10 pages of Maths done this weekend too.

Oh, A-Levels...
