Yeah.
Oops...I guess I already made an enemy, before Ive even begun.
A little bit too similar to reality /depressing

Anyway this is alot more than I suspected they would do. I thought when they said they were going to build on the first game, they meant not having wrex (because of course I couldn't resist the [Shoot Wrex] dialogue option) or other dead party members, and keeping the ending in line with the setting.
Apparently they are more ambitious than I first thought.

It would be cool to see things like the salarian captain playing a different role if you saved his troops etc or used them as bait.

I hope Conrad Werner comes back. SO I CAN KICK HIS ASS AGAIN. What a stupid, stupid man.

From the trailers we've been shown so far, it looks like it's going to get into the Citadel Underworld more. Looks darker. Colour me excited.

Also, how is it going to decide which of your ME1 save-games to use as reference? Because I have about six of them now. (All completely played through.)

This is very clever. I think I'll get back on the PC and see if I can actually finish the game now.

I'd imagine that you could choose them, much as you can choose to start an existing career in Mass Effect 1 when starting a new game.

The cynic in me says that Bioware are very good at hyping up their games, and that I shouldn't give into that hype for fear of disappointment... but then I remember how much I enjoyed the first one, and all such thoughts are drowned out in a wild ecstasy of excitement and impatience.

Anticipation overload! I seriously can't wait for his game; thank god for Dragon Age: Origins. At least that will hold me over until 2010.

I'm not gonna lie, that sounds a) ridiculously complicated, and b) ridiculously cool.

Then you'll burn in hell for the rest of eternity. Why haven't you played Mass Effect?!?! Go buy it! It's only 20 at Gamestop! That's a steal.

Seriously though, Mass Effect 2 is going to be amazing. Game of the year.

Ya thats what I thought... I knew thats how it was gonna be a while ago and was kind of surprised people were having such trouble comprehending this. Well now it's officially clear
Yeah... to be honest, it sounds like the Deus Ex choices, only spread out over a few games - not that thats a bad thing at all!

According to the blog of a Bioware staffer people who ignored the side missions in ME will miss out on 6 to 8 hours of gameplay.
I'm happy that completionists will get a substantial reward.

Oh...

I may or may not have pointed a gun at Conrad's face and told him to back off. So, I may or may not be hoping that he'll actually turn out to be a supervillain.

[sup](P.S, I did hold a gun to his head and I am hoping he'll be like a socially awkward Blofeld)[/sup]

Bollocks.

Now I have to find Mass Effect and re-play it for the thousandth time. My then-360 died on me, and it happened to be the HDD, losing 2 years+ of data. :(

Only problem is I played Mass Effect 1 so long ago I think I've forgotten much of what I did. I'm afraid a lot of these connections might go over my head.

Maybe I should play through Mass Effect 1 again before 2 comes out.

What if you never finished the first game? I got up to the part just after the part where you fight Saren in the cloning place, and had to return the game.
While it's not official yet the general thinking about that is that your going to get a "canon" version of shepard who made the "canon" choices in ME 1 picked by Bioware. Whether or not that includes just the main decisions or all the side missions too is up in the air.

I hope they get a better voice actor for male Sheperd.
Given the dialogue that we've heard so far, it doesn't sound like it :( There's a reason that the two characters I've completed Mass Effect with have been female (and it's not the rather forced lesbian relationship you dirty minded people :p)

...Oh, crap.

I was kind to him till the very last question, then I pulled the Renegade of "Stop me from killing you". (This was in-character for who I was, I did it because I felt it made sense.) If I find out that he's killed himself or turned to a life of crime because his hero threatened his life... Aw, geez, I am gonna feel like such a sack of...

I only hope that some of my exp and glorius 1007 carry over to the next game.
Hmm... must replay that I could alter the past into a more ...favorable future.
