This is setting itself up for being the greates game of my life so far. I have dreamed of a sequal where my actions in the first game actually effect what happens in the second and now that dream has come true. Thankyou bioware, thankyou.
On a different note-Will we get any kind of bonus for having reached level 60+ and beating the game on insane? I hope this will be the case

Bioware is to me, what Valve is to most PC gamers.

It's just.. THE developer

I look forward to their releases with a sick stomach, and I'm never disappointed.

They SELL me consoles. If their next game came out on the next xbox, I'd probably have to whore myself out to get the next xbox and the game.

They sold me an Xbox with KOTOR and Jade Empire, and they sold me a 360 with Mass Effect

Hm, maybe I should go replay Mass Effect so I remember the choices I made.

I wonder if minor things like the "big stupid jellyfish" quest will still have results in the sequel.

huh, I wonder what Conrad Werner will do since I told him to essentially go screw himself and go get a life.

Oh good at long last this is explained to me. I can stop panicking because I was so worried about whether or not my choices will have any impact on the overall scope of the game. This is good news to me at least because it means Wrex did indeed live and Ashley was indeed Shepard's mistriss and everything can go back the way I want it too.

For the record I saved the Rachni from extinction
Spared Wrex's life and indeed earned his respect
Became the gentleman lover of a one Ms. Williams
Saved the Council from death (I am not a supremist)
Made Anderson my representative on the council
Convinced Saren to redeem himself by taking his own life
Let Kaidan die, though I felt guilty for it.

...I think that's enough information for Bioware to handle.

I was a complete ass in the first one.

Put Captain Anderson in charge of the galaxy after I killed the council. And that was not to be good, but because Anderson was awsome and Udina I hated.

Lets see, I told the Shadow Broker to fuck off when he asked for the data on Cerberous...
I punched the one doctor and that one interviewer in the face...

And many more things I can't remember.

Mass Effect 2 will be interesting indeed...

i hope that if you didn't load in a savegame, everyone you meet in the second game is all like "huh? who the hell is this guy?"

Arguably that's the more "evil" choice anyway, as:

Anderson isn't a politician, he's a soldier. Udina on the other hand actually has some political experience. Even if he is a colossal asshole, he'd probably do a better job of running the galaxy on the whole than Anderson would. Putting Anderson in charge could put the galaxy in jeopardy, meaning that it's the more 'evil' choice of the two.

This game just keeps getting better...the only thing I'm worried about is the crap DRMs they have with the disc.

According to the blog of a Bioware staffer people who ignored the side missions in ME will miss out on 6 to 8 hours of gameplay.
I'm happy that completionists will get a substantial reward.
Damn, I hope not. My first, nicer then nice character I rushed thorugh a little and didn't do much where as on my second, I was going thourhg every planet in turn finding everything. I'm gonna have to replay as good now arn't I :(

I missed a New Year's party because of Mass Effect; I just forgot about time and played eight hours straight without noticing. So hearing that the sequel picks up from the first and carries on with improvements...

Come to think of it, maybe I'd better run through "Bring Down the Sky" with my main character and then run through the finish again.

Bioware, you fiends...

Why does all the awesome news come out when I'm asleep?

Oh wait, that's right: I slept pretty much all day yesterday. That might have something to do with it.

To get on-topic: this is exactly what I was hoping for. I can't wait for this now... there's all sorts of things you can do with an idea like this. When you consider that there's going to be ANOTHER game behind this one, the possibilities are incredible.

This makes me glad that I've got three Shepards, all as different from each other as I could make them.

In one part, while you're out for a stroll in the Citadel one night, you'll be jumped by a bunch of Hanar thugs. They won't be able to beat you up, since they really are big, stupid jellyfish... but they'll touch you with their tentacles, and it'll feel weird, and you'll be really creeped out! So there!

I spared the Rachni queen, so I hope that means I'll have Rachni allies at some point!

But I withheld the info from the Shadow Broker, so I know he's gonna screw me over somehow...

Oh god, I am going to end up wasting so much time on this series.
