In Oblivion the fact you can walk around Cyrodil after completing the main quest is very anticlimactic. Nobody seems to care you just saved the world. Fable had the same problem.
Possibly because in Morrowind everyone gushed over you once you'd completed the main quest so much that it got annoying to the point that someone modded it out...

Kane uploads the Tacitus to you, as you are a computer AI akin to CABAL, called LEGION. Your POV then shifts into outer space, you analyse some planets and then you get a black screen with indecypherable alien text.
I still don't get what happened.
I'm pretty certain that Kane's wrath is actually a prelude to C&C3, set just after Tiberium Sun and it's expansion. Hence why Kane starts off with his arse kicked, is still being rebuilt and is still somewhat sore over CABAL going wrong.

I might be wrong, but that was the way I was looking at it.

Fair enough, but a better solution would have been to simply make the end of the game the end of the game. The fact the game doesn't end with the climax of the main quest is just one of the many things in Oblivion that made the story feel irrelevant.

Hello, NWN2. Surprised this one isn't in yet. Worst ending ever. I won't even play Mask of the Betrayer due to their mind-bogglingly bad choices.

Err... That would kind of... Remove the premise of the game? It's supposed to be a free-roaming sandbox adventure. There's more to the game than the main quest, and this would force you to complete all the side quests you want to before doing the main storyline, without even giving you the opportunity to go back and do them later.

Yes, the story would feel more important, but you're taking away most of the fun from the game, and would be the incentive for completing the main quest anyway?

Fable 1 I was like 5 hours into the game and BAM end boss. I felt like it was over before it started NOTHING EVER HAPPENED in the whole game. Part 2 better be 8 times longer or I am boycotting any future Peter Molyneux games because he is a dirty exaggerating liar.

One ending that really gave me a kick to the balls was the first "real" ending you get in dead rising, you spend three days in zombie cultist psychotic hell, kill off some of the people that have been helping you and for what, to be bitten at the end OWCH. My balls just got kicked. I know you can get the "real" real ending but it switches from focusing on using melee items. to using lots of guns to take out swat guys instead of the idiotic undead.

Assassin's Creed

I just loved the story, and towards the end, I was just shaking with anticipation for what was next.

And then everybody walked out of the room and it just ended.
cntrl C + V.

when the hell is the next one due?
Well, they're taking their time

So 2010 to 2011 would be my guess.

The thing about CoD4 with the guy dying from the explosion (other than being rather fucking awesome) is that it made a nice change from today's general action plot-lines, which quite often seeing American Armed Forces portrayed as the legions of God, infallible in their "lets save the world today, again" attitude. Reference: Most plot-based FPS's based in a "real-world" scenario.

My WTF ending: X2: The Threat. I know its a freeform game with the plot being nothing more than a tutorial but...GUH!?

Crysis hands down. I heard the alien ship was the big hype of the game (after playing i don't understand why). Then 1 hour later you're finished...
What.. Did i miss something?

It's not even a good open ending. It just ...ends...

Destroy all Humans.

They made a sequel, but honestly, I just wish they made more of the original.
