Why in the hell would anyone want to see this??

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) tells the story of a man who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the first film in the series, The Human Centipede, masturbating to the first film, using sandpaper to pleasure himself. He decides to create a "human centipede" of his own, which he uses to his own sexual delight, taking sexual pleasure in watching victims of the centipede defecate in each other's mouths and raping the woman at the end of the centipede.

That alone makes me think that the film should be shown in cinemas - Just so we can round up all the sick weirdo's who went to see it and obviously need some serious help.

To be honest, I found the first film to be a supremely grotesque comedy. It was equal parts hysterical and revolting. This however, just sounds goddamn revolting. >_<

It's just too exspensive to go to a cinema nowadays which is why I'm waiting for it to come out on DVD. I'd rather spend $5 to rent it then over $10 to see it at the theater.

I'll watch it. The Human Centipede was a terrible movie, but my friend and I had a good time laughing at it and being disgusted at the same time so I'm sure we'll do the same for the sequel.

I'm not upset, even though banning films is completely against my personal morals of Freedom of Speech.

It's a cheap attempt to get cheap views for something that is just torture porn. Masturbating with Sand Paper? Yeah, take it back to the editing board and try giving your movie a point.

so hows it any different from the SAW franchise?

Ugh... I would have nothing to complain about these kind of films if they just flat out stated their torture porn and have no artistic merit. Just 2 hours of someone being brutalized and tortured. Lame

I think the travesty here is that this film got a sequel.
I think it was a travesty that there was a first film....
Apparently a majority of the investors did not know the full details of the first film before it was made, otherwise it would have never gotten bankrolled. Hence it more a travesty here that people are investing openly knowing what it's about.

The only good I can see in this is that the government would put anyone who sees this film on a watch list.

Also, let's take a look at wikipedia for the first one
Budget ?1.5 million
Gross revenue $252,207 (approx. ?187,000)
How'd they get enough money for a second one?

Also, according to wikipedia
the film was potentially in breach of the Obscene Publications Act, meaning its distribution in the UK would be illegal
Yay!

So yes, I don't think I will be sleeping tonight.

I personally hated the Saw franchise (even the original), but Saw at least had the psychological aspect of tough love taken to the extreme.

Saw was about forcing people to change their ways (and disfigure them) or die i.e. you like raping ladies huh? either you die or you have to stick your hand in an industrial press.

I thought it was unbearably stupid, but there was a point behind it all.

Human Centipede is about a crazy guy making people eat shit and die.

It was humorous when Duke Nukem said it, but nobody actually wanted to ever see it happening.

Yeah, just chloroform them as they walk in the cinema, haul 'em all off to the loony bin. And never let them out.

Or find the guy who thought of it and do that to him. By luring him into a cinema.

OT: Really?

Its not 100% censorship. The film can (hypothetically) be shown in an area where a local council signs off - probably the best way to handle such a thing. This allows the community to decide if can be seen or not. What will probably happen is some film festival will get special dispensation for a one-off showing.

Yeah, the movie is getting way too much regard by generating controversy. All these bannings do is generate attention for a movie so god-awful that the director should be human-centipeded just for making it. I didn't actually watch human centipede, but that's because every review i could find of the movie said it was slow and stupid.

Many exploitation movies got famous by being banned in dozens of countries. It's gotten so they use that for a selling point on the DVD cover now. And those movies were mostly horribly dubbed, poorly paced snoozes with some rare moments of impressively done gore effects. Any kind of censorship just gives these loser directors a badge of honor they did nothing to deserve. Let 'em into the movies and let idiots with nothing better to do with an afternoon and 10 bucks waste their time.

EDIT:
I didn't mean to use the word 'bannings'. I understand that strictly speaking, it's not censorship and I'm not crusading for Six's rights, I'm just saying that any kind of response will just elevate this drivel
