So I look up the game and the first video is called "Devil's Third is not a good video game (Wii U gameplay) ."
We're off to a good start.
Okay, so now I've watched a few gameplay videos and a cutscene or two. This looks like someone remastered a PS1/2-era budget title.
Even if there weren't other games that did that, mashing together too bland ideas doesn't make it not bland.
You complain that IGN and some other mag gave this a bad review, spoiling even the Tomonobu Itagaki ties the game has. I've not seen/read/heard those reviews. What I have seen is a bunch of game footage that makes me not want to play. You are free to feel otherwise, and it's really clear you do.
Why no discussion? It looks boring.
Why was there discussion about Duke Nukem Forever? Mostly because after a decade of development, people were meeting it with equal amounts of hype and popcorn. Why not this? Because it doesn't even have that checkered trainwreck legacy.
Look, it's okay to like mediocre things, or things other people consider bad. But was there any point but to defend a game you like and rant about games you don't that are more popular?

Humourless Saints Row seems about right. Well, with a more military vibe.Zhukov said:It looks like a bit like Saint's Row 3 without any of the stuff that people like about Saint's Row games.
If I might answer with a song:joest01 said:How is a combination of action game melee and cover shooter bland and generic.
