Yes, but sometimes, people invent microwaves!

OP: 610 dollars? I don't think so.

The worst way I've seen anyone waste money is a former friend of mine with heavy OCD. He kept buying the same DVD's, over and over again. He had 35 copies of Sin City alone.
Maybe he just really likes Frank Miller?

Or Mikey Rourke?

Well, considering the other 2 films he bought regularly (like, whenever he had money) were Lawrence Of Arabia and Slacker, I don't think there's much of a pattern.
Trick him into buying Twilight!

Just to be a dick.

People still play Yu-Gi-Oh?
yea, to tell the truth, i do, i find it a lot of fun, and its a easy way to make money.
Oh I honestly thought the game died when the show stopped airing.
I play MTG so I'm hardly being judgmental about TCG's or anything.

Make money how? Buy/Sell ebay style?

I think the OP is missing the point of charity. You're not buying the actual item, you're giving money to charity and the item is like your proof of generosity or something. Obviously some people understand. It's like writing a check to a charity, and getting a receipt...only in this case the receipt can also be used to play a game.

i made 35 or so bucks off of 3 cards, and the town i live in runs cash tornaments, so when i win, i get cash.

Worst thing I see people spending money on is name brand clothing that is 200 dollars at the least. And not like suits, t-shirts and things that definitely shouldn't be that much, luckily I only have one friend who's guilty of that all the time.

I don't get it. What's so great about that card that it gets to cost almost 1000 dollars?
Having seen Yu-Gi-Oh cards just 2 days ago, I'd say that judging by the amount of stars, or whatever that was in the top part of the card, that's a really powerful creature. It would be worth more than a few bucks to the die-hard player. Add to that the "charity" part and the value may increase over tenfold.

I havent collected cards in a while mainly because I'm not interested in the look of the 5Ds cards. I have a big collection and would probably be a vey rich teenager if I sold it all, which I never would :p but it's hard to find people to play with :|
