Just came back to the thread and saw this post. Bravo. I read through the last few pages and didn't even bother replying and defending my argument, because every post was a valve fanboy throwing insults around like a mindless idiot. Thats usually what happens when you assault a company with your opinions. its like Valve hit the "release hounds" button, and a thousand rabbid fanboys came flying at me with every bite, tear, and claw they could throw into one post.Sturmdolch said:So... many... Valve fanboys... in this thread.
I love the idea that if you don't really enjoy Valve games, you must be a retard that plays CoD all day. There's a thing called opinion and preference.
And why are people defending Valve so much? You realize that they're just as much a company after your money as Activision, EA, Ubisoft, etc? Why is it ok for them to delay games day after day but whenever another company does it, people scream and cry?
I agree with the TC somewhat. Valve is not original when it comes to game design. They release one game once in a blue moon that is extremely simple to play, shallow, and usually just amounts to a well made Half-Life mod. I don't like Valve multiplayer games for this reason. They're too dumbed down for me. I'd much rather play Battlefield, or even CoD. At least those games have some variety to them.
However, Half-Life 2 and Portal are two of the best games I've ever played. That's because of the story of both, and also the portal mechanics in Portal.
And here we have a prime example of a Valve fanboy:
Why is this ok, but CoD or console fanboys aren't? They're the same, annoying thing, except Valve fanboys have this smug, elitist attitude about it.Vault boy Eddie said:Go ahead and leave. As a certain synthetic fella said, "We are Legion, we are many". For every Valve hater and person "fed up"with Valve. Many more will discover the awesomeness of their games and realize that greatness can't be rushed. So go enjoy yearly, innovative COD games, or Halo: Little stocky aliens edition.
That is one of my main problems with Valve, is some of the reasons you stated. It almost seems like their games are made for the younger casual gamer crowd. I prefer a more upbeat game that is made for the more mature audience, and actually takes time and skill to be good at. And no i'm not a coD fanboy. I'm only a Epic, and Bungie fanboy. Someone said something about banning me from steam. Lol. I havent used steam in a good year or two, so go for it. I gave up PC gaming a while back and moved onto Console gaming. Simply because it is more competitive, fast pace, and enjoyable while still being simple.
You Valve hounds can keep insulting me, flaming me all you want, but it's not going to change my opinion. Nothing you say will convince me otherwise.
You can keep posting empty insults, or you can just let the thread die. Its up to you.
Good day, gentlemen.
