FFXIII's Barthadelus. The second time you fight him, in the town. He just keeps casting doom on my leader when he hits half health or whatever. Can't kill him fast enough. Also CBF grinding.
You think that's bad, wait until the last battle. The guy casts death on you every 10 seconds and there's nothing you can do about it.

OP: Modern Warfare 2 on Veteran Difficulty. I got tired of hearing Soap yell "I got your back Roach, move move move!" And then immediately die when I move, move, move.

Seriously, fuck you Soap.
Can't say I'll be playing all the way to the end if that's how it ends.

Yes! I'm stuck here right now. I know the only way I can beat him is to grind, but I just can't bring myself to fight all those same battles again and again and again.
And all the hunts are boring as well. I've had the same problem with every Final Fantasy game except for XII and II.

SWAT 4 is the only game I've never finished unwillingly, and it's a very hard game in singleplayer. I finally beat the red offices level, and got stuck on some other level so I just said screw it and beat it in Co-op, even though that doesn't count :) The only game I never beat optionally were Halflife 2 and HL 2 EP 2 - Cause I couldn't finished them...
How does that make any sense? HL1 was the only one that made me rage. That stupid debris kept on breaking my elevator.
Well, we obviously have different gaming interests then

Another one for me:
Skate 2 - I have not beat the Boneyard half-pipe competition - can't rack up enough points.
In Skate 3 - I cannot do that hip-to-hip transfer photo challenge

I think the secret to both of these is learning how to properly pump.

Wait, I misunderstood. Why didn't you finish them?

And then another length of time on the Water temple. Although I'm not sure that counts. It's probably considered more of a right-of-passage for N64 players, no one beats it on the first run.
I did, but it took me around 4 hours if my memory serves me right.

The one level I'm currently stuck on is Metropolis zone: act 2. I find this very disturbing because I had absolutely no problems getting through this level ten years ago.

Mission 2 of Episode 2 of DOOM Classic. Ugh, keycard searching has never been so tedious for me. ._.

chernobyl NPP in STALKER: shadow of chernobyl
This pretty much. Fucking legions of Helicopters coming out of nowhere. The game was hard enough. They could have included one tiny helicopter fight just to figure out how to defeat them, before the NPP, but NO. That last level kicked in my 'Fuck this game' Reflex and I ignored the game for 3 months. Again.

uhhh I ran through the chopper since I had like 2 artifacts that increased my endurance. I'm inside the powerplant itself and its worse than the chopper fight. There are like over 9000 monolith soldiers in there equipped with F2000s, Gauss rifles, and 9a-91s not to mention the fact that its filled with radiation.
