No ublock? Also, one group was much older than the other group.
Is that the difference you meant when you said 'People that eat breakfast and don't eat breakfast are 2 completely different types of people on average, '? That one group is ~9 years older? Because it sounded like you meant something significant, like lifestyle or something.

A decent amount of people probably do have a different lifestyle or at least eating style. Adjusting for all those things in the table properly just isn't possible as the doctor mentioned.

👌Have a blessed day.
I'm at least trying to help people eat healthy.

The whole article was explaining what was wrong with the adjustments. You have said not one single reason why the adjustments from the other study was wrong outside of you simply not liking them.
Repeat after me: We. Don't. Know. What. They. Were.

The RAW data for any study on LC is gonna show and association with covid because it was the dominant viral infection during that time frame. I don't get how you think this is some smoking gun you've discovered.
Its already been pointed out to you how this argument makes zero sense.

The dominant position of covid vs other infections cannot dictate the /rate/ of LC within the group of those who had positive serology for covid.

The fact that you bring this up as a full explanation merely suggests you still don't understand how rates work.

All you guys do is make up shit I didn't say. I said the tagline that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is bullshit and not back by any science, not that breakfast itself is bullshit. Yet you have no science or experts to back up any of your claims. If you say I'm wrong, then you're saying Dr. Robert Lustig is wrong because all I've said is what he said because he's the expert.
So, you rejected an absolute with a misleading evidence to support a different inaccurate absolute?

Er, congratulations?

You missed the part where he shared a study that showed people who eat breakfast lived longer and then went "shh doesn't count."

Are you?

You seem to be claiming all sorts of stuff as common sense (which translates as what you do, obvs) and yet at the same time are coming out with stuff that's extremely dubious ('Don't eat breakfast!') and giving apparently little or no tolerance for the fact that other people can eat in healthy and reasonable ways that are different from you.

For instance, some people will do better with a decent breakfast than no breakfast - there is reasonable evidence to support this. Going around claiming you've got the answers and giving what will be for some people objectively bad advice is not helping them eat more healthily.

A better reality is understanding that people are individuals, with different life situations, different psychologies, different genes and so on. There are good general rules, like don't eat loads of processed foods, sugars and fats, but really what you need is to take each person as an individual and work out what will work best for them, not come out with dodgy rules misleadingly defended by pseudoscience and bluff that won't help a load of people.

I almost responded to the "American bread isn't real bread" too, but sometimes when you're staring too much wrong in the face, short and sweet is better.

I didn't have breakfast this morning, if anyone is interested (seems unlikely), and my elbow still hurts and my hands are cold. Subtracting a point from Team No-Breakfast.

Pfft skipping breakfast is sooo subprimal. I eat one meal of 6000 kcals of liver every second day. You can smell my piss from Britain.

Edit: also just in case anyone is curious Robert Lustig is not some universally accepted authority on diet and nutrition. Now he is certainly a qualified professional in the field who absolutely knows what he's talking about. Which is why he is so good at lying to sell his books.
