My level 19 student class self would fend off homework monsters spawned by level 45 professors and defeat evil boss monster "tests" in order to level up his wisdom and earn the greatest treasure of all: A diploma.

If real life were an RPG, I would get an achievement for successfully resisting the urge to kill the myriad of bad (and by bad, I mean bad) customers that I seem to get Every. Single. Day.

(^ Hey! It's an achivement everyone can get! Unless... one gives in to their homocidal urges.)

I'd be a diplomat, or some other lame npc class. Id have a happy life, but brave, out there heroes would laugh at me. And I'd die a little inside.

I would perpetually load my saved game at level 1...

Before I knew what the word unhappy meant. :(

Wait, a REAL rpg or a JRPG? If it's a real RPG I'd be the chaotic neutral bard who just doesn't give a shit.

If it's a JRPG I'd commit suicide until I STAY dead.
A JRPG is also a real RPG.

I would be the Demi-Fiend kind of guy.

Oh crap if life was like a JRPG like star ocean 1 or 2 (you may be familiar with the psp remakes) I'd be able to have ANY girl simply by saving every time I said something to one. Oh crap, THAT wasn't supposed to happen! Reload!

What do you mean you'd commit suicide if life was like a JRPG Chibz? JRPGs are the absolute best!

I'd either be the Lawful Good guard of the town who only ever says "..." or I'd be the true neutral guy who... only ever... said... "..."

I played this rpg before! Let me give you an example of the worst rpg ever from a situation that happened to me 2 weeks ago.

A friend and I were drivin to another friend's house when the car broke down. My friend kept turning the ignition and it wouldn't start. We figured it was out of gas because it was pretty low as we were comin from another town a few miles away and my friend is a lazy that doesn't pay for gas til it's really low. Luckily, it broke down at my house and with a gas station a 10 minute walk away. So we walk there to buy a gas container, but the ATM is off after 10 pm and it was 11 pm. Neither of us had cash but I remembered that there was a 7-11 just another 10 minute walk away. While we were walkin, I said that it was the worst rpg ever, and that by the time we come back from the 7-11, we can use the ATM at the gas station (cause some rpgs do that). We quest on.

We buy some Canada Dry(awesome drink) and get cash back and walk back, purchase the can and fill it up, and walk back to the car. We fill up the tank and attempt to start it up, but to no avail. We then decide it's the battery and call a friend that was coming off of work to bring cables. He comes, jumpstarts the car, and we all gain some xp while enjoying Canada Dry.

If I were a real life RPG character, I'd have to say I'm chaotic neutral, and either a rogue or a bard (because I have a lot of talents, but none of them are all that great you see).

I would also have an orchestra following me that would play music that followed along with my current situation. And they would play the Final Fantasy victory theme every time I succeeded in anything.
And it would be glorious.
Did you not see the episode of Family Guy when Peter gets his own theme music?

"Riding on buuus, riding on a buuus..."

You'd go crazy.

I like the idea of health potions that can cure any kind of disease or injury. And if you got in a fight, you would have plenty of time to consider a strategy.

I wish life were a JRPG. I'm good at math, so I could kill everyone with NUMBERS!
If I was in a JRPG, I would be the cool character that never gets any lines but gets forgotten after he has an ultra cool appearance where I start a story arc, but inevitably slip into the back of the group because I get horrible Character development, and the character development I do get is part 1 to a god awful filler chunk of the game.

My screen time goes up when we split up because I actually am part of the story now so I kill the first main baddie I see very easily then it skips to another person who is having trouble conquering his or her baddie, and I come in to save the day, and slip into existence even further after that resulting in me being desperate for attention which leads me to be the comic relief character.

This new idea of being comic relief has mixxed results, i'm funny, but I do not have very much to do with the story anymore, so I decide to kill myself off in a heroic sacrifice to at least be remembered in flash backs that will play 10000 million times like anime does so, so often.

But without their recolection I am still quite alive and at the last part of the game, I stop the baddie from killing the leader of the party, thus delaying him enough to allow the deus ex Machina to happen and eventually kill the baddie and I get no credit whatsoever to his defeat demise, or even to helping stopping him....*sigh* it is my destiny, ALSO I would be the love interest of 1 of the girls who dies after meeting me.....my anime life sucks....screw this!

If the real world were an RPG (tabletop) I would be a level 1 commoner and be terrified of house cats.
This no longer applies in 4th Edition, and that makes me a little sad inside.

But if real life were an RPG?

I'd look up a walkthrough on GameFAQs. Or I might buy an official strategy guide if it came with an artbook or something. And depending on which side of the globe the format follows, I'd either grind on Giant Rats and break me some barrels or I'd seriously work on buying lots of Hair Product.

I'd just be a random NPC. I have a voice, but all I'll say is 'Hello' and 'What a great day'

I was playing FFIX lately, just having a massive nostalgic playthrough of it all and after a nasty battle of being cast Slow upon a lot of times, I looked at my watch and thought "if real life was an RPG, a Rolex would prevent Slow."
I would of thought a Rolex would Prevent Stop
