The power of charisma, so I can sweet talk people into doing whatever I want them to!

A really practical thing I'd like to be great at is persuasion and seduction, would be nice to 'suggest' things in such a manner that people will always do it one way or another. +1 for mind-games.

yeah but there's a species that pretty much regenerates himself when he's at old age - pretty much rebirth himself

I would go with either a photographic memory or a master general mechanic so that I could fix just about anything.

Telekinesis....what? That's realistic! It could happen! :p

In case that's not real enough for you, I'd take having an in-depth/masterful knowledge of computers so I could diagnose and fix my own damn computer problems.

I was going to say mastery of Bass guitar but then where is the challenge for the rest of my life? I'll take mastery of piano. Such an amazing instrument that I struggle to wrap my head around.

Photographic memory. Would mean I'd have to spend less time on re-reading stuff and more time on working with it and understanding it.

Thats neat, but what I meant is that they can be killed, murdered essentially. Re-birthing is great but that doesn't mean that you can not die if your caught in a blaze.

I want to be damn good at science. Just science in general, as it covers a lot of things.

I'd go with an eidetic memory. Because that's the biggest upgrade I can think of that would stay in the normal range of human biology that would also mean I'd still be me. I think of an improved memory as being, like, changing the hard drive on a computer.

That's partly my reasoning for not asking for heightened intelligence or an instant collection of degrees, but mostly I think an upgraded memory seems less like cheating.

They're not immortal^^ of course they won't survive a gunshot wound or hurled spear through the center, but in theory if they just keep out of trouble and stay away from those bad underwater neighbourhoods that jellyfish can survive until the sun goes b00m on us. After that we're all fucked.

There are lots of threads asking what superpower would you want the most - so for curiosity sake, I'll ask - What ability would you want to gain that is already possible? Maybe to master a particular instrument? Know a language? To be really good at a sport? A university degree (not just the certificate but all the knowledge as well)? No flying or invisibility or anything like that, something real.

For me it would to be fluent in Afrikaans - I have my reasons ;) Second choice would be to have an awesome singing voice.
A deep understanding of how the mind works. I would then use my new founded abilities to make a new reality in my mind and live (in the mental sense) as long a possible. (that is if it's even possible)

the ability to create powerful vacuums between my handpalms or footsoles and whatever surface they touched at will, so I could actually climb anywhere I want just like a fly could...but better.

this would be achieved through some special kind of gloves or brain-stimulated implants.

or super-powered pheromones, if the former isn't possible.
