If you had to invade Hell which fictional army would you use?

Either 40k marines, or more likely the doom marine. I wouldn't even have to lift a finger.
Just send Marneus Calgar up. Then, lie back and laugh.

Take the Doomguy, Serious Sam, Duke Nukem, and that dude from Painkiller, make about a million clones of each, that's my army.

I'd just make up my own fictional army. They would be invincible and limitless, with undying loyalty to me. Then after I'm done with hell I'll take over absolutely everything else.

Lets see, my first thought was the daleks but with satan as an unknown factor I'm not sure now. The most popular answer seems to be anything from the 40k universe since that particular lives on everything being very over powered. The only thing that I have come up with as an alternate universe whose power rivals 40k is the Dune universe if you include the stuff written by Brian Herbert, because if you do then early level technlogy includes instantaeous transport to anyplace in the galaxy and both the weapons and the will to reduce multiple systems worth of planets to barren rock along with armies that are trillions strong and sheilds that provide complete protection from any type of non laser weaponry. That seems to be enough to put it on par with 40k. The only things that spring to mind that are more powerful than that are clearly broken (altering reality, granting wishes and the like) and super tengen toppa gurren laggen which I also consider cheating because it is 100 times the size of its non super form which throws galaxies around and creates explosions on a big bang scale. Or in other words cheating (I mean how would you even fit it in hell?)

I'd go in there with an army of Splicers. Fight hell with demons and what not. That way, if they get killed and wiped out, Rapture will finally strive again.

Justice League. The big expanded one with dozens of members. Really, Superman could easily destroy at least the first four circles before needing help.

The Avengers. Thor alone could romp through the first five circles of hell before breaking a sweat.

The combined might of Azeroth. Really, any one group (Alliance, Horde, the Aspects, the naga, and alllllllll the others) could just about do it. Except for murlocs. Murlocs would be part of the enemy, because I want them to suffer for existing.

Every legendary Pokemon plus the fully evolved starters plus a bunch of the other top-tier. If Arceus is the closest thing to a true deity in the Pokemon universe, then he would probably be more than enough by himself.

The bad-asses of One Piece. WAY too diverse and numerous to go into which ones would kick the most ass. I suppose the big three admirals, the Shichibukai and the Four Emperors are a good start.

Everyone in Dragonball Z. Except maybe Krillin, because he's the butt-monkey to end all butt-monkeys.

I could sit here all day thinking up examples of small groups of people that could annihilate Hell. But I won't.

The sayain army. I mean they are incredibly powerful. Also they would get stronger as we went along. So the increasing difficulty of the demons wouldnt matter. Also they would love the very idea of such a fight and thus have no problems obeying orders. They also lack emotion so the others dying is no big deal.

A strike force of Grey knights (preferably terminators), as they were created to fight demons.

The only army I'd need for a campaign of this scale is the forces of the Imperium of Man. With the forces of the Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle, Space Marines and the Imperial Fleet bestowed to me by the God-Emperor, nothing will stand in the way of complete and total victory.

If I couldn't get that then I'll easily settle for just the Australian and New Zealand Military groups and JUST them. It was not without reason that Rommel himself said "If I had to take hell, I would use the Australians to take it and the New Zealanders to hold it."

"Give me but a thousand men crazy enough to conquer hell... and we shall do it!" If I'm remembering correctly thats a quote from Imperial Guard (Warhammer 40K)

Saying that though Imperial guard are slightly shit, even though I had them. I would go with Space Marines. or an army of Halo Spartans.
