I would definitely get another one, colour it orange, and arrange them to face each other, thus creating an infinite portal tunnel!

Heh, that's actually my new plan now for decoration in the flat I'm moving into soon. The two girls I'll be living with aren't gamers to my knowledge, but even so, I'll see if I can do something like that in the living room or something. Or maybe just in my own bedroom, as a little quirky geek-chic thing... ;D

I'm actually going to buy two oval mirrors and make one blue and orange. Sure it might not be a perfect portal, but it sure will be awesome. This may look fantastic in my hallway, so long as no guests ever come and laugh at me.

Find a pair of oval-shaped LCD screens, and embed a tiny camera in each of them. Set each camera to transmit to the opposite portal.

Presto, you have an orange portal displaying what's on the other side of the blue one, and vice versa.

Nice idea, but it's impossible to create a mirror portal like that, because the blue and orange portals would have to be on the same spot - or be one and the same, which you can't do in Portal. So let me be the first to point out;

This is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell its a fake because the shadows are all wrong.

This is a lot like the scene in the movie Never Back Down where Max tried to pay for a traffic cam speeding ticket with a picture of money.

Honestly, that is the most awesome-est thing I have seen this week. It makes me wanna do something like that too. Too bad I don't know have a license to drive to IKEA.
