Thats the best idea I think, makes it more simple, not perfect but good enough really, I am gonna move out of home soon, and I am soooo doing that in my lounge room. The Shade said:I must have it. I must!
I think I just found my new home-warming gift for my new apartment!

I would definitely get another one, colour it orange, and arrange them to face each other, thus creating an infinite portal tunnel!
And then I'd get dizzy and fall over.
That however is another good idea, make a oval hole in the wall, and have it through to the next room and paint each side blue and orange, if the wall is plaster then fill the gap in the middle up and paint over it with orange and blue, and for cement wall simply paint the middle orange and blue. You would have to be pretty stupid to put the wall through to a bedroom or bathroom though.HarmanSmith said:Before I read the article, I thought some guy had sawn a hole through his wall and painted a blue ring around it. Of course, there would be an orange ring around the other wall.
The fuck do you need a car for Ikea has portals.thethingthatlurks said:Hm, there's an Ikea where I live. If only I had a car...

ThinkGeek did it, but the shirts they made were only prototypes and not for sale... yet.Icecoldcynic said:That does look pretty cool actually. The LCD camera feed thing sounds even cooler. I want some rich geek to get started on that right now!

Ah yeah.
Exactly. In Portal you see the back of yourself whereas in real life you see the front of yourself right in front of you.Woodsey said:That's what happens in Portal; you see the back of yourself when you look in one.Hamster at Dawn said:Apart from the fact that you would see your reflection. Kind of ruins the illusion if you ask me.Woodsey said:If he put an orange one on the opposite wall, then it'd really look like a portal when you stand directly in front of it.

Unless you have an identical twin looking at the other one, and a very symetrical room. That would make for an awesome picture.Hamster at Dawn said:Apart from the fact that you would see your reflection.
