Bear with me here, Escapists. This is another combination rant thread/question for discussion. Feel free to skip the spoiler of rant and hit the question at the bottom of the page.
So anyway. The question for you guys is, have you ever done something because someone else wanted you to? I'm not talking chores or the usual 'Mom and Dad are yelling at me, I should do this'. Who would you do something you'd rather not for? And what have you done?
Over the past 2 days, I've been fighting with my roommate and my boyfriend over my eating habits. I eat 1-2 times per day, but I'm not often hungry, and have to be reminded to eat sometimes. This worries and upsets them, but I don't really see it as a problem.
Last night, my boyfriend and I fought for nearly 4 hours before I agreed to see a doctor. But I told him flat-out that I'd go for him. Not because I think there's a problem, but because he and my roommate do. I don't see what's wrong with me not wanting to eat if I'm not hungry. My roommate and I just argued about it (again) and I told her I'd go, but she's still pissed off at me for 'not seeing this as a problem'.
