xitel, you should enjoy a tale of stupidity worse than your own.

I can't say that I did this but it requires telling because otherwise noone will ever know about this amazingly embarrassing story.

My dad works with computer hardware and he likes to look through discount bins at Goodwill because sometimes you find really good stuff in there. Anyways, he finds a high-quality hard drive one day and goes home and realizes it doesn't work, so he returns it. Two days later he goes back and sees a similar hard drive in the discount bin, takes it home, and realizes that it is the exact same drive. He returns it. He goes back the next day and buys another hard drive only to realize that it is THE SAME ONE he bought twice previously. I still make fun of him for this.

again, sorry that this isn't my own story, but all of mine are fairly lame.

I did a lot of facepalming reading through those...

Anyway, another one I did was let a friend borrow my mint PC copy of Final Fantasy VIII. Not only is it usually $50-$80, but it was a very sentimental gift to me. Haven't seen the bastard, or my game, since. >_>;;
Oh, spineless friends... we can all relate.

One of my brother's friends stole GTA vice city... didn't even take the box...

I bought a copy of Too Human and one of Two Worlds. Never felt so stupid as the next day when I took the latter back. They guy at the counter even tried to ward me off it but I ignored him.

I had just got a new 360, and I saw Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath in a Best Buy bargain bin for 10$, and it was only afterward that I learned of Microsoft's incredibly bullshit backward compatibility system, and that Stranger's Wrath was NOT on their list of playable games.

How hard is it to make a fully backward compatible system? The Wii and PS3 do it fine, for the majority, so why can't Microsoft give us a system that can play games of the last gen without having to download the ability to play the old games that often times have more glitches than when they were for the first Xbox?

Friend: Hey Justin, what are you doing.
Me: Hey friend of mine, played by Tony Shalhoub! I'm playing Mirror's Edge. I'm trying not to shoot a single bullet the entire game to get an achivment. Actualy, this is the end right now.
F: Really?
M: Yes! The game ends... now! Were is the achevment?
My Brother: Hey Justin, can I play Mirror's Edge while you and you friend talk? While you went to the bathroom and said I could play, I went into the mall part of the game and shot everyone there, died, and then you came back none the wiser. So, can I... what are you doing? Mom said your not allowed to touch her knives on account of your anger prob...Justin? Wait, stop! Don't just stand there, Justin's friend played by Tony Shalhoub! Do s... O my god, thats my "man" place!

And thats why I don't let anyone play while I'm not there. That story also explains why I have two brothers (left), why my friend went missing, and why my shoes were "painted" red!

EDIT: One. One brother left.

I made a huge list of all the video games I've ever played because I forget sometimes which ones I've played and which ones I haven't. Then I made a list of games that I want to play because I forget the second I get into a store.

I bought the same game three times...
Uh...Which game was it? And did it turn out to be... (bad joke coming) three times then fun?

On to my own idiocy. I lent my friend a few wires for the X Box (normal) since he had lost his and I wasn't using it. Then a little while later I felt like playing KOTOR 2 and Ninja Gaiden. I needed those wires. I ended up stealing them back since he wouldn't give them back.

Thinking a CCG based on SimCity might possibly be worth it.

It is THE WORST GAME EVER.

NO: do not tell me about a worse one: You try playing a game that won't let you get past a town of 15 until you buy several hundred dollars worth of cards (which I was smart enough not to do)

Back when it first came out, I had collected all the goddam pokemon on Silver. I even had a rare Mew. The sparkly one. All the trading and effort.... gone when I let my brother try it and he started a new game. I should've known better!

Well... maybe he did me a favor. That's around the time I stopped giving a rats ass about pokemon.

Also, I keep buying all the Guilty Gear games that come out (with the exception of Overture). I love the series, but even I'll admit that the money could be better spent on NEW games.

And gameplay wise, I guess the latest one was when I was playing Midnight Club L.A. doing a longass series of tournament races. I was being adumbass and weaving through highway traffic and my brother kept telling me that I should stop fucking around. I told him to shut up and watch my mad driving skillz (with a "z") since there was no way I could be caught up to. Then I accidentally bumped a car, swerved off the side of the highway onto the road below, and ended up in 4th after trying to get back on course.

Touranment lost.....

Locked everything up for the night, stepped outside the back yard for a minute and heard the back door shut.

Yeah, that was a fun night.

LOL.

Hey I sent out a WELL PACKAGED and SECURED Priority Overnight FedEx.....only to find later, the actual contents that needed to be shipped, staring me in the face.

Yes, I know. Had I wanted to ship air so quickly, I should have used UPS (Next Day Air).

I think I need to stop posting in this thread.

I went swimming in the ocean with my glasses on. Then a big wave blind-sided me... that was a fun and blurry summer.

As for gaming... My friend beat me at Starwars Battlefront 1.... using his feet.

I am so ashamed.
