Maybe you should stop reading the comments if you don't like them?

Lies. I have all the cookies. You think you have cookies, but you don't; they're perfect replicas of cookies.

But besides that, no. The internet is far FAR too useful for me to help you destroy it over a few questionable opinions.

Yes. I want to destroy the largest and most accessible resource of free knowledge available because some people on it have opinions on games that differ from mine.

You leave the internet alone.

It is the place I come to so I can mock hundreds of people at once for being numb. Where else could we gather the brainless masses so we can monitor them and laugh at their stupidity?

Wait, what? How could an new release in an obscure as hell, super-hard JRPG series for portable consoles be ruining the industry? I mean, to ruin the industry, wouldn't it first need to actually have an effect on it? What is this, I don't even...

OT: I hate the internet... Sometimes. It gives me nice things and also gives me pain. We got a love-hate relationship going, the internet and me. We frequently fight and insult each other, but then immediately make up. :p
Cause we buy it, you're letting the Rainfall people win and that should never happen. Plus, you buy any game from Japan(espesially if you had to campain for it.) you're entitled, whiny and don't deserve to play games.

Go on Kotaku, Destructoid, Joystiq practically anywhere and those comments(with Kotaku you'll see it in the article itself) flood the site

I can't at all argue with the dramatic part, thinking back I'd lower that percentage but I guess I was thinking I'd be smart and apply a law somewhere. I don't remember posting this so much, but I see why it happened.

a)I had just finished reading several insightful and knowledgeable articles elsewhere on the internet, and every time I read the comments hoping for intelligent rebuttal or an expansion on the ideas presented it was just a sea of trolling, pointless angry threats or insults, or other crap not worth it. This happens so damn often, many of us know to not even see what people think under the youtube video.

b) It was like 4 A.M and I should have been in bed hours prior. Note to self: If you're tired and pissed off about work tomorrow and that you only get a nap really...stick to the lurking perhaps and try not to say anything : )

You hate the real world and the net.
THERE IS NO SAFE HAVEN FOR YOU NOW.
I recommend going to a dessert island, it'll take a lot less effort than destroying the internet that or tolerate everyone.
HAVE YOU GONE MAD?

I suggest investing in space colonies.

Also, after its destroyed, we should reshape it.
But I like it in its current state!
I'm not sure I do. Facebook, Twitter, etc, all seem to be taking over. Hulu just got rid of their discussion forum to replace it with Facebook, Steam is changing theirs.

I don't care to bother my good friends, or worse my family, with any discussion I get involved in. Religious and political discussions are likely to drive wedges where they need not be. Discussions about technology, or other highly specialized fields will likely annoy those who cannot follow the discussions. Both of these would make it less likely they will notice the posts I actually want them to read.

That is my other concern about the current internet. It seems to be moving more an more towards "Facebook", which is a haven for such nonsense as the above. Although mostly anonymous, forums such as these seem to encourage actual debate better than Facebook. Perhaps it is because having to register means you actually feel you have something important to contribute to the conversation. Low content rules help also,...

The internet is definitely a more brutish form of communication than face-to-face. The anonymity of the modern internet enables a large number of people to be the sociopath they simply could not be in real life.

Well 1: I don't even know why letting those who support Project Rainfall win would be a bad thing (more games, what is wrong with that?), 2: This game was not even part of P:R, as far as I know, and 3: Wow, those are really crappy, stupid arguments. :\ At least you have here, though, amirite? :D

Go on random news site and sees story about games I'm looking forward to like Etrian Odyssey 4.

Sees comments flooded with people saying how those games are ruining the industry.

I just hate the internet. Anyone want to destroy it with me? I got cookies.
I guess I'll go build a huge boat.. or something.

I hate what the Internet has become. I also hate social networking. Social networking has seen the death of professionalism, respect among peers, and what little remained of common decency.

I could live with that. I mean I could live the loss of those things, that is.

Social Networking is a victim, not the problem.

People partake in social networking through "personal" means, and often from "private" areas. Such as on their own phone, and in their own homes, this means people let their guard down.

Social Networking also allows for an unparalleled ability to share one's life with one's friends. People who have always wanted to, but never could, were kept in check by reality itself, now they have been unleashed on the internet.

Our generation is shaping the internet, and will be the ones to define proper etiquette in the future. There are rules that we never needed before, that need to be written down. We will have to write it, and we will have to enforce it. We will have to encourage others to enforce it.

For the most part, I agree with you. that is about how I feel about the current internet.

Cause real life and the net have become one. And as someone who hates the real world, that is not ok.
Uhhhhh...

Have you considered seeing a shrink, if you hate the real world enough to destroy the internet for resembling it?
