oh come on now....thats a little dramatic I actually dont think the rest of the internet is as bad as people make it out to be...DrunkOnEstus said:That law about 90% of everything being crap? I really hate to say it but it may apply to humanity itself.
Cause we buy it, you're letting the Rainfall people win and that should never happen. Plus, you buy any game from Japan(espesially if you had to campain for it.) you're entitled, whiny and don't deserve to play games.BreakfastMan said:Wait, what? How could an new release in an obscure as hell, super-hard JRPG series for portable consoles be ruining the industry? OT: I hate the internet... Sometimes. It gives me nice things and also gives me pain. We got a love-hate relationship going, the internet and me. We frequently fight and insult each other, but then immediately make up.![]()
I can't at all argue with the dramatic part, thinking back I'd lower that percentage but I guess I was thinking I'd be smart and apply a law somewhere. I don't remember posting this so much, but I see why it happened.Vault101 said:oh come on now....thats a little dramatic I actually dont think the rest of the internet is as bad as people make it out to be...DrunkOnEstus said:That law about 90% of everything being crap? yes theres a lot of retardedness but honestly I'm not sure I buy the Idea that everyone is just a troll waiting to dive into the sea of anonymity
I mean trolling "really" isnt that fun or funny

THERE IS NO SAFE HAVEN FOR YOU NOW.
I recommend going to a dessert island, it'll take a lot less effort than destroying the internet that or tolerate everyone.
I'm not sure I do. Facebook, Twitter, etc, all seem to be taking over. Hulu just got rid of their discussion forum to replace it with Facebook, Steam is changing theirs.Marter said:But I like it in its current state!RaikuFA said:Also, after its destroyed, we should reshape it.
That is my other concern about the current internet. It seems to be moving more an more towards "Facebook", which is a haven for such nonsense as the above. Although mostly anonymous, forums such as these seem to encourage actual debate better than Facebook. Perhaps it is because having to register means you actually feel you have something important to contribute to the conversation. Low content rules help also,...DrunkOnEstus said:I don't remember posting this so much, but I see why it happened.
a)I had just finished reading several insightful and knowledgeable articles elsewhere on the internet, and every time I read the comments hoping for intelligent rebuttal or an expansion on the ideas presented it was just a sea of trolling, pointless angry threats or insults, or other crap not worth it. This happens so damn often, many of us know to not even see what people think under the youtube video.
Well 1: I don't even know why letting those who support Project Rainfall win would be a bad thing (more games, what is wrong with that?), 2: This game was not even part of P:R, as far as I know, and 3: Wow, those are really crappy, stupid arguments. :\ At least you have here, though, amirite?RaikuFA said:Cause we buy it, you're letting the Rainfall people win and that should never happen. Go on Kotaku, Destructoid, Joystiq practically anywhere and those comments(with Kotaku you'll see it in the article itself) flood the site
I guess I'll go build a huge boat.. or something.RaikuFA said:Go on random news site and sees story about games I'm looking forward to like Etrian Odyssey 4.
Sees comments flooded with people saying how those games are ruining the industry.
I just hate the internet. Anyone want to destroy it with me? I got cookies.
I could live with that. I mean I could live the loss of those things, that is.Aylaine said:Besides, without the internet, I wouldn't have the Escapist, or Threadless, or...or...!
