Because if that's the case I could have days of fun throwing myself off of the Eiffel tower for bets, which would then get me all the money i needed to do anything else on my wish list.

My immortality would depend on a self annihilating race, I would do what was possible to keep the human race going. Immortality isn't something I would ever give up, the end of the universe will have to come to take it away if I had it.

On the perception of time being altered, it all depends on certain factors. A child waiting 10 minutes for something they want will make them anxious and to them time will seem to move slowly even though time is a constant dependent on perspective. Now the same child if they do something and occupy themselves time will seem to "fly" by faster than it is. Mood, age, perspective, they all change how time is perceived.

Immortality; all the way. I would decide to become obsessed with knowledge and knowing EVERYTHING there is to know. It would be hundreds of thousands of years before I had to worry about knowing everything. Oh and building an empire to basically own the world would be fun. Even if I make mistakes I have as much time as I need to try it again and again.

Sounds like you've got the makings of a good story. He or she could start out happy with immortality and willing to wait it out. Then he or she goes into a downward spiral and contemplates becoming a murderous monster for the peace that death brings but will our hero give in?

eventually, the universe will end, and before that, the sun will explode. Although I think that in however million/billion years it takes for the sun to get to that point human will have left our solar system, and probably our galaxy, so when the universe ends, so will I. Just make sure that you're on the whatever deep space mission you can be, so that you aren't near any exploding stars or anything like that.

Also, after about a billion years, time would start to go by quite quickly. You eventually have no concept of time, because it would mean nothing. Whole civilizations could rise and fall in days to you. It would be... interesting.

sol wont go supernova its to small, it will become a red giant and eat up the earth, then it will go into a white dwarf a little later

Imagine, you were born immortal, unable to age past the end of puberty. A divine fuck up of royal magnitude. You couldn't be killed, couldn't age. Sure, that's fine for a while, but I've read enough books and watched enough movies to know that immortality gets boring after a while, and in the end, mortality gets us all.

However, there is a massive price if you want to be able to die. Every single sentient being on the planet would have to die first.

Sure, it would be fun tearing through a few murderers, tyrants, rapists, paedophiles and so forth, but in the end you have to start killing innocents.. like children, and newborns.

At the end of the road, would you give up your humanity in order to die? Or would you live forever to keep it, when in the end you'd probably go insane from boredom..

Or, would you find a way to do it without, you know, knifing everyone, shooting and nuking everyone. If anyone has seen Children of Men, I'd find a way to make that happen instead.

That would be great thing in my opinion. I could fulfill my dream of creating a small stone tower up north and siting there and thinking, watching how humanity tears itself apart, when I am finished thinking and answered every question there is to be answered. I would take it as my job to write it down, put it safe and end everything... Then I could live in solitude till I see fit to end it... Ah what a dream for me... Ability to live as long in solitude as I possibly can want to...

Well lets see.. I know im gonna loose myself to boredom at some point so to secure humanity as a spieces i make sure that they are spread around the universe by the time i do so. That way even if i wanted to kill humanity off i couldnt and thereby force myself not to? Besides even if i cant die i can still freeze myself down. Permasleep till some idiot decides to wake me up.
