My ninth grade geography teacher, Mr.Drummond. He was really good at actually teaching the subject and his classess never got boring. On top of that he had no problem with us bringing coffe into class in the morning.

Good sir, not only is this frowned upon, you are third. And one more thing, enjoy the threat of the admin's ban hammer. Good day.

On-topic: There was my drama teacher that was incredibly hyper and funny never gave us work at all, he even seemed happy with all the annoying kids in my class.

I'm not sure what he does exactly, but he's a grown man and he walks around school emitting robot-like noises occasionally..Hmm.

There was a very common substitute, and he was in charge of sex ed, and was describing why girls should not feel bad if their breasts weren't big or they weren't skinny, because "some people are like this *makes wavy motion with hands*, while others are like this *makes straight/flat motion* and some people are like this *makes a big circle to imply fatness*" And then his wife, who is also a teacher, and is a bit portly, walked in and asked what we were laughing about. That just made us laugh harder, especially when one of the guys imitated the motions.

I had a math/gym teacher who made everyone feel like they could change the world for the better. When I graduated grade 8, I was awarded my school's Math Award, which shocked me. My teacher had asked me to take part in the Gauss Math Challenge, 25 questions with each being worth on average 8 marks. I got only 53%. Barely a pass. I was shocked and hurt, I tried my best, even when my classmates were standing outside the door yelling that we were all nerds. And it hurt to realize that I wasn't as smart as I thought I was. But my teacher came up to me, and said, "Smile! So you didn't do that great. Who cares? Are you going to let a piece of paper tell you if you're smart or not? I know you, you're really smart, and one bad mark doesn't make you stupid."

People at my school didn't like this teacher, but I did. She was our music teacher, and pretty old fashioned. You were not allowed to say Yeah. If she asked you a question, you were to answer Yes. She was obsessed with our school's musical instruments since she was our music teacher. If you did anything that was remotely dangerous to the instruments, you had to give her 600 dollars before you did it. Her version of swearing was, "Holy jumping jack rabbits!" or something silly like that. If you laughed, you were in trouble, since she was dead serious when she said it. You weren't allowed to say God (like oh my god), you had to say Gosh. If you didn't she'd say "Big S-H, please!" She scared the crap out of my classmates once when my friend decided I was being too slow at putting my trumpet away, so she said she'd put it on the shelf for me. I yelled, "NO STOP! It's not LOCKED!" It was too late. She yanked it ("it" being the case containing my trumpet, which I had left unlocked when I went to throw out the paper towel I used to dry the mouth piece)off our (cement) music room floor by the handle. It flew open and my trumpet fell to the ground. That was the first time our class has ever fallen completely silent. My teacher was just the opposite, screaming at the top of her lungs, "GET OUT OF MY CLASSROOM! THAT TRUMPET WAS EXPENSIVE, AND YOU COULD HAVE JUST RUINED IT!" She wasn't even yelling at me, and I was scared. If anyone cares, my trumpet was fine.

My old Geography teacher. He spent the entire first lesson back from holidays asking us all what we'd done and then coming up with new nicknames for us all. When he was trying to teach us something he'd get sidetracked and talk about something totally different for half an hour.
He's just a very cool guy.

EDIT: Oh, and there's my PE teacher who plays games against us on COD5 and then laughs at us during lessons when he beats us.

During your years in school, have you ever had any really impressive/extraordinary teachers? I have two on my school. My music teacher who plays some damn good guitar in a jazz trio, and my computer teacher who is one hell of a slap bass player. Also, my math teacher rides a motorcycle, which is kind of cool.

(Also, I found this video of my computer teacher)

I had a maths teacher called Jack Daniels. No joke. He was a legend and all-round awesome guy and a fantastic teacher.

Another would have to be my English teacher, who achieved the amazing feat of getting me to work by sending my Essay back to me no less than 12 times.

I had two great teachers in high school. My Japanese teacher, Sensei Howlett and my Latin teacher, Mrs. Varga.

Sensei was just really awesome and she was born in Japan and married an American. She tolerated acting goofy sometimes and was just a really nice lady.

Mrs. Varga was from Romania and an excellent teacher. But she was one of those stern teachers who didn't take any crap but if you just did your work and tried--she was the nicest lady in the world.

Otherwise, most of my teachers sucked until I got to college and met the History department Dream Team; Professor Hamilton, Professor Svelmoe and Doctor Dave.

Hamilton was like the mom I never had, Svelmoe was a kickass elder brother-type and got me interested in American history, and Doctor Dave is just the shit and can tell you everything you'd ever want to know about Napoleon. They're all brilliant.

My Physics professor was made of so much awesome that, for the very fist time, I got an A in Physics. I was so thrilled.

Yeah, I hated high school but I adore college.

lol, at that guy who did "first"

my old biology teacher told us a month into teaching our GCSE biology syllabus that he thought it was crap and that he was going to teach us what he wanted to and we should go away and learn the stuff for the exam a week before we do it.

I also had a drama teacher who acted like a total perve all the time. one girl asked him if he ever wanted any more children and he said "not right now, I have a lesson to teach, see me after class", this was a common occurance, he probably should've been fired...
