In what movies did you WANT the bad guys to win?

Not a movie, but there was one time in Batman: The Animated Series when I clearly wanted Batman to keep his nose out of things. It is the classic (and somewhat famous) episode with Mr. Freeze, in which Mr. Freeze was clearly not the most evil character of the episode. He was about to get revenge on the guy that was responsible for the death of Freeze's wife, and when Batman thwarts him, it's a real "YOU SONOFABITCH!" moment.

Twilight: the first half I wanted edward to just NOM NOM bella.

the second half onward I wanted them all to BURNNNN.

Avatar kind of: on one hand, I hated the navi, but on the other hand the humans were SMUG AS HELL.

Avatar...I think it would have been more funny if the humans won.

Also, wouldn't the humans just come back after a few years with an even bigger force and wipe out all the Navi without asking questions? That bothered me.

I really wanted the grasshoppers to kick the asses of the ants and the circus bugs in A Bugs Life!
That now out of the way I'll throw my hat in with the crowd saying Law Abiding Citizen! The Lawyer despite his seemingly good intentions brought it on himself, and he should have bitten the bullet for letting the other killer go free..But his blonde female assistant though didn't deserve what happened to her, she had no part in the other scumbags trial

Avatar.

I was so angry at the movie for its ridiculous representation of the armed forces and humans, in general, and I disliked the Na'vi so much, that I just wanted Lang to burn everything to the ground.

I guess we'll have to wait for the sequel. That'll be probably terrible as well, but at least he might kill off some characters.

Law abiding citizen. Instead of the usual snore inducing reflection of 'what if he was right' by the 'good' guys, we could have been left with the much more interesting question of 'well what the hell happens now?'

Plus, his method of laying the final bomb was so ridiculously, unbelievably obvious compared to the rest of his plans that it felt fake.
this. i have never wanted gerard butler to win so fucking much in my life.

plus after seeing that porterhouse steak. he had to have gotten +20,000 to his power level so there is no way he wasn't more badass than the entirety of new york.

Star Wars, the rebels are shit disturbers and the Jedi have a really bad tendency to engulf the galaxy in war.

Any batman incarnation. The Joker needs to win.

There really aren't too many movies where the bad guys win... We need a couple.

Most movies I watch, of course there are exceptions, but most of the time I just want the hero to die, already.

You might want to fix that, on account of it making no god-damn sense.

OT: Transformers. Megatron > Optimus Prime.

Yea, I kind of agree with this. Not that I hate Harry Potter, in fact I absolutely adored the books when I was younger but, there is something about Voldemort that just makes me feel like he should win or something. I really cannot put my finger on it but perhaps it is because I have gotten into depressing endings or something, but it would have been really unexpected if he had won, although I most likely would have been pissed off if he had won.

In my opinion, Voldemort deserved to lose. Not because of karma, or anything like that, but because he's such a fabulously evil villain. Most bad guys at least pretend they're doing something right; Voldemort calls himself 'The Dark Lord' and spends most of his time being massively evil for shits and giggles.

He had it coming.
Upon reading this, I agree. I would have preferred if he didn't die though. It's pretty awesome that he just goes around fucking everything up, laughing in peoples faces as they die and then actually knows he is doing something wrong, and he doesn't want the public to love him and recognize him as their leader. He wants the public to fear him and recognize him as their god, that is just a total bad ass, awesome bad guy and perfect best friend right there.

Office Space. There wasn't really a bad guy, I just didn't want the good guy to succeed at his plan.

Yeah. The Galactic Empire should've won, especially at the end of 'Return of the Jedi'.

as for Avatar: didn't the bad guys win in that one? (the bad guys were those blue critters, right? :D ...should've been nuked from orbit. Or a kinetic strike from a positioned asteroid...)
