I read webcomics because they're good, not because they're "simple and funny". Good in this context could be so many different things it would be stupid to try to list them. While I might like a webcomic because it's simple and funny, that doesn't mean I think all other webcomics should follow that very narrow ethos. There's loads of webcomics I like based almost entirely on artistic merit. I definitely don't think, "Screw this, I'm going to read some manga." Or regular comics. Or go to an art museum.

This is just getting all kinds of ridiculous. Everyone is just trying to justify their comic winning or at least having a chance. No one needs to take it personal, we all want to win, but only ONE of us will.
