Apparently, someone got the idea that the cow NPCs in one level of Diablo meant that there was a hidden cow level. This blew up into a frenzy and apparently caused Blizzard enough grief that they added a secret cow level to Diablo II. They also made the instant-win cheat in Starcraft read "there is no cow level".gigastrike said:I like the one in Legend of Zelda: OoT where, when you get into the castle courtyard and shoot one of the paintings in the window, someone will throw a bomb at you.
Also, can someone explain the hidden cow level from Diablo? I never understood what it was and I'm curious.
Did you try asking a question back at him?pieeater911 said:In Fallout 2 you come across the bridge of death from Monty Pythons Holy Grail, and you have to answer the questions correctly. That one was great.
Also, when you come across that time-portal thing from an early episode of Star Trek and you accidentally break the water chip in Vault 13, thus causing the events from Fallout.
And Duke Nukem 3D is littered with so many 90's references. My favorite reference, although not from the 90's, was at the end of the first level in the fourth act where you walk down the hallway and all the different doors open automatically and you go down an elevator hidden in a telephone booth. Get Smart reference, yay!
Thats awesome. What song was it?miracleofsound said:What is the most random and fun easter egg you have found in a game?
For me it is this...
While playing Fallout 3 I stubled across a computer in the museum of technology that had I note from a guy that was comprised of lyrics by industrial band Fear Factory, and the fictional scientist's name was B.Bell.. the name of the singer in said band.
Obviously this is only really exciting to people who are fans of the band but I thought it was really cool.

His robes are equal to combat armor, and I got him at a reaaalllllyyyy early time so I was ahead of the game for about four towns.
