Nobody is going to remember these but anyway
Dark Forces, on one level (ice level, you entered a imperial complex and got out using bespin like tubes) if you made your way into a certain area, and pulled up your map while running around in it, you'd find Max's face.
Also there was a hidden room on another level that had an ewok who you could shoot and he'd turn into a pile of ashes.
Wrong! I remember those! I was actually gonna mention them, but you beat me to it. Go you! XD The Ewok was in level 4, and Max's face was in level...uh, 8, I think. It's been a while.
Anyway! Sorry if this gets spammy, I love Easter eggs. XD;
Near the end of the Sierra game "Torin's Passage", you end up in a room full of green crystals with various people frozen inside them. One of those people is Tomoe Hotaru, the civilian alter ego of Sailor Saturn (from the anime "Sailor Moon", for those of you unfamiliar with the character).
In "Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos", clicking on the large bushes that are scattered around the forest areas will sometimes elicit the message, "Is that a Pseudobushia Hugiflora?" from one of the characters in your party. This is a reference to "The Legend of Kyrandia", an earlier Westwood game and the first game in the Kyrandia series, in which a large bush called the Pseudobushia Hugiflora grants you a very useful ability.
And that's not the only Kyrandia reference in this game. In the Urbish Mines, you can pick up a note that reads "Piscata Rosea 4 4 5". Near the end of "Kyrandia", you can pick up a fish from a castle bedroom that is referred to in your inventory as a Piscata Rosea. Now, what does Piscata Rosea mean? Why..."Red Herring", of course.
Speaking of red herrings, early in "Sanitarium", you find yourself in a nearly-abandoned village. One of the houses has a large sign on its roof with a red fish painted on it. If you go into the house and poke around, Max will come out a few seconds later and say, "Crap, I was sure there'd be something interesting in there."
In "Silent Hill 3", if you investigate the toilets in a bathroom, and if you have "Silent Hill 2" data on your memory card, Heather will turn to the camera, give you a disgusted look, and go, "What kind of sick person would do that kind of thing?" Referring, of course, to James and his penchant for sticking his bare hand into disgusting clogged toilets. >_<
Okay, last one, I swear! In "The Longest Journey", there's an important inventory item: a talking toy monkey called Constable Guybrush. This is actually a double reference; first there's the obvious one to Monkey Island, and if you examine it, April will warn against calling the Constable a monkey, which is a reference to the Librarian in the Discworld books, who is an orangutan and hates being called a monkey. And continuing with the LucasArts references, you later end up in a part of the city where there are two streets called Calavera St. and Threadbare St. (Grim Fandango and Loom, respectively). ...Plus, I'm not totally sure about this, but I think Constable Guybrush is voiced by Earl Boen, who did the voice of LeChuck in the Monkey Island games.
